Cornelius

Sat Nov 09, 2013 4:50 pm

I thought he was fit now and looking sharp in training according to a post on here? Thought he would've made the bench today, is he fit??

Re: Cornelius

Sat Nov 09, 2013 4:51 pm

He's going to play a development game before coming back into the side.

I hope he's good

Re: Cornelius

Not sure why but my gut instinct on him isn't great.

Re: Cornelius

Sat Nov 09, 2013 5:19 pm

Lets at least give him a chance eh?? We will soon know whether he is any good or not.but we certainly need something different up top! We have the cutting edge of a butter knife at present!

I think hel feature after the big 2 crunch matches at home its a long road back to full match fitness to throwing him in at the deep end against a top european club

My opinion is... Don't stir something which you haven't got a clue about. Wait and see. I believe the viable explanation of him lacking match fitness, so needs development games to get up to speed.

What's happened to Brayford anyway? Not that it matters hugely - KTC has been very good.

No manager gets everything right, gaston Ramirez cost Southampton 12 odd mil and he hasn't had a sniff

Re: Cornelius

He's recently been on a training programme developed for pre season. He's had to do his several months later. He came through that successfully and is now training with the first team squad

He's had genuine injuries. The hysteria this has created is incredible

Re: Cornelius

Absolute waste of money.

Almost 1/3 of the season played and he's been of no use. This is not a £2m signing, this is an £8m, at the time record signing. To think we could have put that towards signing Tom Ince or Montero really irks me.

But Tom Ince/Montero could just as easily have been injured in pre-season or whenever it was that Cornelius was injured, Roath.

I love how you think I'm Roath. It makes you look daft, not me, as most know that I am not Roathie.

If he can impress Ole, that is good enough for me

Manchester United were also mooted as a potential interested party at one stage, with former Old Trafford star Ole Gunnar Solsksjaer in little doubt of his suitability after the player had scored against his Molde side in European action.

“He would certainly be an option for United,” Solksjaer said in September.

“He has speed, skill and of course he is good in the air. He has the ability to go as far as he wants in football.

“He has the qualities to play at a top level if he continues to develop.”

Money talks. Had we offered him another £20,000-25,000 he'd have come. I'd rather give Ince who plays and adds to our campaign an extra £25,000 per week than pay for the transfer fee and wages of an injury prone player.

Lets hope so as he is what we need, but he won't be the first managers to bug up his own players.
