Stop trolling please. That company is SYNTAX DIGITAL and unregistered. There is nobody registered as Syntax Design within the UK as I have checked it myself. There was a company called Syntax Digital Ltd that dissolved in 2011 and never had anything trademarked. The company was in the architecture field so would be in an entirely different class regardless.

2. There is a company in Scotland called www.syntaxdigital.co.uk who have been in business for years.
3. I own the UK domain name for Syntax Design and currently going through the process of getting protected.

Fair enough. Well I'll get the legal advisor to look into it further but as of current its okay. If needs be I will change the name as its cheap enough to do so and its relatively early in the businesses life. Although if that does happen then I don't think I'd be in a position to criticise Tan when it comes to the rebrand.

That company you mentioned Syntax Digital. They used to be called Syntax Design but changed names. They're registered in Jordan as Syntax Digital but currently undergoing the process of becoming just simply SYNTAX. Im guessing they bought the domain back to make sure most traffic goes to them but seeing as they have no presence in the UK they didn't need syntaxdigital.co.uk (A Scottish company's domain) or syntaxdesign.co.uk (My domain)

A domain alone does not protect you and neither does registering simply as a company. You need to get things trademarked and as of current there's nobody trademarked as Syntax Design within the UK. The first name I thought of was similar to another UK companies name and I was advised not to use it and change it to something else.
