Just spoke to Carl and looked on a few forums/FB etc and they think they are going to hammer us on Sunday, because they believe they have a better footballing side, well if I am honest I think they have at this current moment, but surely by now they know that totally goes out the window in a derby match?

Desire/passion also goes a long way and we have that under Malky and our fans

Annis there's not an honest bone in their body they never played to well against west ham but form won't count for anything come Sunday and with our passion on and off the pitch i think we'll get a win Sunday.

but they arent playing very well this season are they? or this year really? In saying that anything can happen on the day like when we beat man city deservedly a few weeks back. Something about playing the jacks here though, apart from the late goal by chopra and the fortutious penalty from agent Dean they have outplayed us here quite a few times in recent years and won.
I hated playing them when dave Jones was the manager, lets hope malky tells them to play the game not the occasion. 2-2

how are you a better team ? since last February you have been dreadful stats don't lie , if we win sunday we go above you and into 9th place not bad for our first season up???? i think you jacks need a reality check the last two season you done well but your on the slide

Is there an official definition of a 'better football team' or are you going on the basis that a team that can pass a ball better makes a 'better football team' ? There are lots of other criteria to consider. At the end of the day, it's a results business so mayby the better team is the one who comes out on top at the end of the match ?

A team can have 95% possession, do fcuk all with that possession, and lose the match, which to me doesn't make them the better football team.

I think we will be better off going a goal down, 0-0 we will just sit and let you come at us, I'm in a weird kind of way hoping you get an early goal to put a rocket up our arses

I don't mind this week, bit of banter is good, spoils it when a few can't take it mind and start getting childish with abuse, what I don't like about it though is all the tit for tat arguing and point scoring.

I personally think Dyer to get an opener in the first 25, butterflies then for an absolute age, will feel like it should be xmas 2036 but will only be approaching 70 mins gone. We will grab one. Goal mouth scrambles, cards,wrong decisions, and a goal for us in the early 80 mins. Park the bus.

Depends how we set ourselves up. If we sit deep and let them attack us through dyer and routledge i think we will be in for a horrible day we can't give teams 20/30 shots a game and expect to win..
I feel they are a better side and probably a level above us but if we can frustrate them like west ham did then i think we can win..

There is a lot of posturing come derby week. As we saw yesterday there is hamming up of "look how bitter they are" and hamming up of "we will smash them" as you saw today.

I highly doubt either team will smash the other. You arent calable of smashing anyone in fairness and we arent capable of breaking down a team determined to destroy it with enough regularity to run up a cricket score.

We are a completely different class to you in terms of footballing ability however you have become very adept in stiffling your opponants which you showed all of last year aswell as this. You arent an easy team to beat.

If we get the first goal then im confident, if we concede the first goal then it could be game over. That first goal is vital. Its my gut feeling that we will go behind and you will shut up shop.

Ok, heres 3 examples off the top of my head.

1980/81 Swansea second in the Div 2 1-3 up against Cardiff who were struggling at the foot of the table and only 6 mins left on the clock. You pull one back, and then there was THAT goal! Result 3-3

1980/81 In the return we are looking for points too stay in a promotion place whilst you are desperate for points too stay up, you escaped relegation on goal difference that year. We go one up with a leighton James goal, but up pops Peter Kitchen. Result 1-1

2010/11 The double is on! We had already secured a 0-1 victory at yours, and at the time we seemed to be beating everyone at home. A victory was a foregone conclusion. But DJ for all his faults concerning Derby days got his tactics right and Bellamy got the goal. Result 0-1

I'm sure there were games when you were expected to win and didn't, but they were back in the lower leagues when we were both shit anyway. But on the basis of the 3 above, it's not a game to 'lump on' if your a jack!

I think we are streets ahead of you in football terms. I do not think many of your squad would get near ours let alone starting 11. Caulker and Marshall would of course but out of the respective first choice starting elevens i would hand on heart not pick one Cardiff player. BUT this is a derby so form go's out of the window and obviously anyone can win.

Your league form has been poor but you have been very lucky. You beat Man Citeh, fair enough,but other than that you have really rode your luck and relied heavily on dodgy refereeing decisions and the form of David Marshall, you could conceivably be stuck on 3 points. But you must be doing something right so hats off to you..

We have been ticking along in Europe and the Premier league without pulling up any trees. We certainly have not clicked but have had some good games and tidy results. Funnily enough in some of our better performances we have lost.... anyway all this is academic as it is a derby game.
