Bloody foreign drivers!!!

Thu Oct 24, 2013 9:35 pm

Just my bloody luck at the moment!!!! b*stard Romanian driver pulled out in front of me by the Texaco garage on Tudor Street and my car is now a right off!!!! From wherever they are in the world they should be made to take a UK driving test if they want to drive on UK roads FFS!!!

I never thought Id experience that spilt second before impact again. Good job I 'had' a solid car (BMW) because a weaker car would have hurt. They tried to changr their story twice when the police arrived and tried to say another person was driving !!! Good job that 4 members of the public stayed with me to support my argument of what happened and if they read this may I thank them with a :ayatollah:

Yeah had to wait for the police to arrive because of they were changing their story all the time and refused to give me their insurance details but everything is ok apart from my cars front end in bits :(

Yeah they should have to sit an assessment test to show competence on our roads.....

But when we travel abroad it's fine, as we are all good drivers......

Do you actually consider the amount of foreign drivers are on our roads ?
Or how many British drivers are on continental roads?

Face it every driver ignores the basic rules of the road pretty much 70% of the time...

How many of you check your blind spots before pulling away?
How many of you check your mirrors on a regular basis?
How many of you know what MSM or S L O W mean?

The standard of driving tests are at a far higher standard than Romania or any other country in the former eastern block. Sorry but I thought being in the EU meant that everything should be to the same standard or is was that just spin from Pro-EU supporters

How often have you set a driving test in Romania or any other country?

How could you make the comparison?

Face it Accidents or Incidents happen every day on roads all across the globe.
As soon as you put humans into it the Human error will be present.

You cannot even discredit what I have said because you know it is true..

I'm a PCV driver and have advanced driving certificates and have recently completed all of my CPC modules...

But even I've made mistakes and misjudgment on the road(Human Error).

No one is perfect...

Ive worked within the transport industry for many years and I remember it wasn't long ago that Tesco sacked all their Welsh drivers from one of their depots in the area to employ Polish for cheaper. Within the first 12 months the accident record rose hughly because the drivers who crashing on roundabouts because they had no experience of roundabouts. Shortly after that 12 months they quickly reversed their decision. FACT

1.no need for FACT
2.wtf is decussion

im not having a pop as i sympathize with you.
but standards of drivers in this country is poor, regardless of the nationality.

i witness acts of stupidity on a regular basis on our roads.

ive even been racially abused by another road user...

he called me a "eastern european f**k" ironically.

My point is basically Common Sense isnt that Common, especially on roads.

Many of the Splottite friends I had have mostly moved away from the area, changed for the better or the worse? Some parts of Cardiff are unrecognisable.

A big problem for all drivers on the roads of Britain

Its a disgrace that these eastern european scumbags are allowed to drive on our roads especially on our motorways causing death & destruction.

They frequently flout our laws & there have been many instances of drivers driving constantly for 24 hours +, & the vehicles they drive being from mainland europe do not meet our stringent mot regulations.

Compared to the driving test here in the US the British one is a lot harder.

not a lot of difference between a Romanian driving test and a British one so makes your argument null and void

sorry to hear about your accident but lets face it accidents happen regardless of who is behind the wheel

and as for same standard have you tried to pass your test in Sweden?

The worst drivers I see on the road are over 60's :old: I think they should take another driving test when you reach 60
