Malky Apologists

Nope didnt expect anything less today away to one of Europes elite but enoughs enough the guy has proven to me time and time again he hasnt got the minerals for football at this level.

I am sorry but Rudy Gestede is not even League 1 standard.

If hes going to keep using this standard of player, after spending 35m then he is not the man to keep us up.

I feel the Manchester City has papered over the cracks significantly. Malky has a lot to thank Vincent Kompany for because if he had played that game no way would we have scored from two corners. I feel people are giving him the benefit of the doubt at the moment because of that game, lets see if we can get a string of results together against some easier opposition.

How come malkys so bad at his job,why can't he see what some fans see.

Don't think he got it wrong today. He got it wrong at Newcastle !

Our organisation and game plan will keep us in the league but it won't be pretty. Its about the results in our mini relegation league that count.

As a man he is faultless.

As a premier league manager sorry but seriously flawed.

Malky is one of the best young managers in Britain at the moment . His only flaw is his experiance against top managers who are tactically excellent . That is not his fault and will only come in time .
If he does manage to keep us up then next year I'm confident we will see a whole new approach from him , he is in the same boat as some of the players in our squad , only problem is he can't have a break he's in at the deep end .

Another slight problem with him is his insistence on playing " favourite " players like cowie and gestede . Now that isn't a problem when they are class players ( ie lampard at Chelsea ) but unfortunately ours are championship class and it is hurting us in all honesty . January can't come quick enough for me we need to boost numbers .

I believe malky is the man to take us forward I just hope he's a quick learner and he's given time to show his undoubted talent as a manager :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I don't know more than malky , and I praised him . Just because he is our manager doesn't mean he is allways right !
Same as we have been all season , stick to what we are good at .

4-2-3-1

Maybe drop gunnarsson for the in form mutch to sit alongside medel
Counter attack with the passing abilities of kimbo/whitts feeding pace upfront , the formation that has served us well so far

im in the minority that wouldn't care if malky lost his job, great man no doubt about it but I just don't think he is the guy to keep us in the prem long term, few occasions last season we won and drew a few games when in all honesty on a different day could and should of lost, but malky has done a great job no question about that but for me he is not the guy to keep us up long term

Who would replace him and do a better job then?

Re: Malky Apologists

The line up today was haphazard to say the least!

However, it was Chelski, lets give the guy some more time, but even the hard core Malky fans must be a wee bit concerned by now!

Pfffft.

Stevie Wonder could see we have spent 35m and are about aa good going forward as a car in reverse.

This is the PL and we cant string 5 passes together.

what the f**k do we work on in training all week?!?!?!?

If we are being honest our form and style of football last yr when chasing promotion wasn't great either and only that other sides around us didn't capitalise we ended up winning it. We've taken that poor style into the premier league and it just won't work. I don't want Malky to leave but I'd like to see a change of style and definitely going for it more at home.

Totally agree mate.

I said in another thread playing the percentages, nicking scrappy games with the only goal in the game worked in the championship but its not going to work at this level. Too much quality to rely on a 1-0 which we so often did last year.

My worry is weve spent 35m and havent really bolstered our attacking options which is concerning cos we werent exactly free scoring last year.

Spot on.

New Years day we were outplayed by Birmingham in the first half but went into the break 1 up. I laughed instead of cheered when we scored. The rest of the season we played similar to what we are now but the attacking threat was not there. Certainly if we continue and come away with some results we will become a difficult team to beat. However we need that bit up front to take the pressure off, too reward the hard work of our defence and to start bringing confidence to the fans.

Under Malky we have not had that winning striker. Miller failed, Maynard was injured, Campbell was a part answer in the championship but does not look like it in the premier and Cornelious I dont know anyone who thinks he is up to it yet so where is this striker going to come from? I still think we are going to be ok but unless one of our strikers rises to the occasion its going to be touch and go.

Do you think a foreign manager like for arguments sake that Southampton chap could work with our squad which is more workmanship than quality?

Agree with all of this. There is a lot of talk of Malky being a great young manger, & in time will learn & get it right. Well sorry, but he's not going to get that time at this level,,,no mercy what so ever.

A lot of thing need to change, before the talk changes from survival to reality.
