so most people want tan out ?

Fri Oct 18, 2013 1:05 pm

Just wondering what's plan b then ? Who's going to buy us and bank roll the club in the short term ,cashflow pay the bills wages taxes etc ? Are we still at.the point of red or dead ?

Re: so most people want tan out ?

I don't think we were ever at the point of red or dead. It was just scaremongering so we would bend over and allow Tan to shaft us. If Tan sells us, he would want to sell us on for a profit and he certainly won't sell our club on the cheap, so I think whoever buys our club from Tan in the future will have a fair bit of financial clout behind him. He won't be able to afford to buy us in the first place otherwise surely?

Of course we were. We were losing £1 million per month and nobody was willing to take us over. Apart from Tan. So if we had said no to Tan then would have stepped in and saved the day? Nobody!

I dont want Tan out. I think the truth is the past 2 weeks nobody really knows what has happened. From what Malky says and Tan says everything seems to be fine again and sorted. You can listen to rumours on the forums or choose to listen to what Malky and Tan say directly.

I want Tan to stay. Apart from the rebrand he has been brilliant not only for this football club but for the City and for the local charities.

Well said, but it's a "glass half empty/glass half full" situation with some, fella ;)

A few are so focussed on the red/blue issue (and it certainly is an issue ;) ) that they cannot see (or maybe don't want to see) the good that has gone on elsewhere

It's a shame, because this club (as stated elsewhere) was close to folding until they (TG/Tan) came in and he has (so far as I can see) delivered on the vast majority of his promises (good and/or bad) ;)

I don't like some what has happened (red/blue at the top of my personal list) but I am a little more pragmatic in my approach to it all and choose to stay positive about my club and its future under Tan and/or anyone else that comes in. After all, it's not really in his/their interest to fail, is it? ;) :ayatollah:

No it didnt magically make £1 million a month appear but it made Tan willing to pay £1 million a month to keep us affloat. How can you say if Tan had his way Shearer would be manager? That was all just rumours. It was TG an Tan who hired Malky.

You are thanking Malky and Moodie for getting us to the Premiership, and rightly so. However, it was Vincent Tan who was willing to give them the resources to be able to assemble that squad together. So he deserves plaudits too. Look at the bigger picture, it is bigger than blue and red.

I wouldn't be so sure of that last statement when he has just employed a 23 year old Kazakhstani who knows absolutely nothing about football because he is a friend of his son. It's getting like a Malaysian Welsh FA with Tan's "jobs for the boys" approach.

I can do what I want. You don't know shit about what I am basing my opinion on either. I am basing it on the fact that because of what happened and the late release of a statement, the clubs name was dragged internationally through the mud and that sticks. The name of a once great traditional club ruined by a egotistical owner who's only interest is profit.

Of course your opinion on the Moodie situation is based on rumours. Who are you trying to kid. The fact that you, the person who leaves the forum every 2 minutes and lies about all sorts, even has the cheek to talk about ego itself is a joke.

The truth is Tan has put this club on the international stage. Without Tan the world wouldnt even know who Cardiff City were. He has made some controversial decisions in his time but he has benefited the club, the city and many local charities. For me that outways any colour.

I disagree with the majority of your posts anyway, but for you to actually support Tan's decision of appointing this 23 year old Kazakhstani just because his fathers a multi millionaire is incredible. I wonder what would happen next if everyone had your attitude. Bill Gates' son replacing Malky as manager?

So the club didn't take ages to release the statement then? The club didn't keep fans waiting at a time when the club was being put through the mill by the press? Okay, of course they didn't. The club didn't hire a painter and embarrass itself and give the fans no answer then? Okay, of course the club didn't.

I admitted to trolling in the past and no longer do. I've PM'd Annis numerous times my views on the situation and if needs be I will copy said views and place them here to put your mind at ease. Its entirely up to you as I got nothing to hide. I'd rather Tan out and whilst I can respect that he has taken this club back to the top flight to me the other things that are occurring or have occurred outweigh that. We are all different in our views.

The simple fact is that the club is trying to smokescreen what happened with 'Tan will wipe the interest' and 'Malky will get full say on transfers. I don't trust Tan on that so therefore it is of my belief that the club is better off without him and for us to do as Swansea City did regardless of the challenges that will lay ahead of us on that path.

Of course, this is my opinion. Everyone else is entitled to their own.

The truth is Tan has put this club on the international stage. Without Tan the world wouldnt even know who Cardiff City were. He has made some controversial decisions in his time but he has benefited the club, the city and many local charities. For me that outways any colour.

Good for you. That's up to you and I respect your decision. I ask for you to treat mine in the same way. I stopped trolling ages ago which I've admitted to doing. I'm entitled to my own views on the issue. For me, under Tan's control we've become a national laughing stock which could even reach further afield.

Now I would like to debate with you all day but my views are there for you to see and thats that and I got work to be getting on with. I am, unlike Chuckle, not going to bore the forum to death with my repeated announcement of my opinion. If you'd like any more clarification on the issue from me then PM me and I'll answer you fair and square. If you respond here then I won't respond as my views are above. I will just see it as an attempt for you to drag out an argument with no need for the purpose of trying to belittle someone.

I have better things to do. If you want an argument then I suggest you message Barry Chuckle.

So you're saying its unacceptable for BU to lie, but Tan is allowed to?

I'm not denying BU have changed their stance. Initially it seemed their intention was to get our identity back while trying to work with Tan to at least reach a compromise. But as we all know, Tan doesn't care about anyone and won't listen to anyone, so it's hardly surprising BU now want Tan out. The only chance we have of getting our identity (and to some, our club) back is if Tan leaves after all.

Have you missed something, we couldn't have just struggled on, as the CEO said, without the propping up Tan was providing, we would have ceased trading in 3 months or so.
Now if you really believe there was someone prepared to step in and invest that sort of money just to stave of liquidation, without the extra that was needed to push on, then fair play to you for being so optimistic, some may say a dreamer.

Those involved at the club knew how precarious a position we were in, perhaps they were just being negative for the sake of it.

Of course they weren't made up and Tan has kept the creditors away, no dispute there. My point is Tan has only decided to loan us serious money because we accepted the rebrand. Personally, I would have rathered Tan not get his wish so instead, he would do just enough to keep us afloat without rebranding us, but that's my personal opinion obviously. But if we failed to reach the Premiership, which could have easily happened if Tan got his initial wish of Alan Shearer managing us, we would be in a far worse financial state. Would Tan have been willing to loan us further money to have another go at reaching the Premiership then, or pull the plug and demand all the money he loaned us back plus the 7% interest to leave us in a further mess? Fortunately we will never know.

when has tan lied to us ????? tg and whitely have ,tan has kept to every promise he has made most of them people dont agree with but hes still kept his word ,if we excepted the rebrand he would invest ,money for players ,training ground ,stadium expansion, paying off langstone, pmg, taxman ,monies owed to stadium contractors and debt to equity ,the latter hes already putting in place by buying up the shares and wiping the loan interest off ,the one thing tan isnt is a lier ,he migtht be a loony ,misguided on football matters but not a lier

What i have never understood is how people can believe there was a philanthropist just waiting to invest in city, at same time as tan was putting his money into city! They cannot accept that without tans money we were in grave danger of going to the wall? Most are in denial to think otherwise! :o

And to think they've called Tan a liar in his time.

Oh dear god! If you're honestly saying Tan isn't a liar, then it's pointless debating with you. I never realised the blue and yellow kits came out last month!
