i agree it will put a lot of fans off,by calling fans soul sellers they're just shooting themselves in the foot and alienating themselves

What a terrible idea.

Can BU please identify those who have, in their view, sold their soul? Is your soul only intact if you're a member of BU?

Stone Roses.

Means something different to everyone.

I dont want red, i want blue. But i still watch city and that doesnt mean ive sold my soul.

Perhaps im over thinking it. :sad7:

No doubt BU will use this and say the slogan is a lyric but they could have chosen a more fitting song

Re: Bluebirds unite shop

Bit of over sensitivity in relation to "I don't have to sell my soul."

In my opinion, it simply means I don't have to just accept the rebrand, ie, 'I can register my disapproval.' One of the ways in which anyone can do this is to support Bluebirds Unite.

Not a big deal, unless of course some people feels it's a bit too close to the truth.

So you must believe that some people have sold their soul then?

No, now I didn't say that at all.

I'm just questioning why some people get so worked up about it.

Personally, it's not a slogan that I would have gone for - if I was running BU, but equally if you take it in the context that I've put it into above it's not really a big deal and scarcely worthy of what, frankly, looks like a bit of faux outrage.

Why don't Bu have a sign saying don't accept the rebrand instead of the provocative sell your soul stuff

 I'm really disappointed that any fans have 'accepted' or endorsed the rebrand (and lots have tbf) but do I think they've sold their souls?? I don't think anyone can physically sell something as intangible as a soul.

I've read many of his most recent posts on here and they've all been sensible posts, which would have gone down well IMO with people who may have been standing on the fence!

However, I saw 3 of our fans wearing the same "Don't have to sell my soul" logos on white tee shirts after the Man City match in Leckwith, where it irked some of our other fans, who weren't even wearing anything red.

IMO, By wearing or carrying something with the "Don't have to sell my soul" logo on, is inferring that any of our fans that don't go along with BU's ethos, is a sell out and is going to cause a lot more discord!

Not a good decision in my book!
