if you need that explaining then you need to go back to school.

We are going away to an established side with two strikers whose total transfer fees must be close to 100m. they have parker and sidwell in the middle of the park, who much have wrapped up hundreds of premier league games between them, and if tarrabet is on form, he is far superior in terms of flair to anything we have.
On top of all that they have been very strong at home for a number of seasons.
the newcastle game, despite not going to be easy, should be the one we are targetting for 3 points.

For the amount of money we have spent the squad is still far too unbalanced, lacking pace and genuine attacking quality.
I just dont see 3 worst teams than us. I really dont.

fulham are not having a great run of form at moment, won on the 1st day of the season 1-0 aganst sunderland, but lost 3 straight after and havent been playing particularly well. their only other pt came in a 1-1 draw with west brom who also havnt started to well and picked up their 1st win on saturday against sunderland...
this is a game that we should be targeting to get pts from as they are going to be in and around us for most of the season.

I can see where you are coming from but on the other hand, if we did happen to lose it wouldn't be the end of the world and we wouldn't be the only team to come away from fulham with nothing this season.
it will be a tough game for both teams and it could go either way.
The problem with many fans on here is that they will be uber confident pre match then if we lose will be calling for malky's head at 6pm saturday!

i understand its not always easy to be positive, but look at southampton last season. i think they lost their first 4 or 5 matches. Wonder what their fans were thinking.
i would still put palace, sunderland and hull below us. with others such as west brom, stoke and norwich will also be around there.

I think Hull are adapting the best out of all three promoted teams.
Bruce has signed well. Huddlestone was / is a great signing.

I personally dont think containging teams and then looking to score off a set piece is a tactic that will be fruitful in the long run.
It may work in the Championship but not at this level.
To get to the magic 40 point mark youve got to win at least 11 games, I just dont see us doing that at the minute.
Hope I am wrong.

Exactly, points on the board we need, and quick.... f*cking sick of hearing people saying 'what a great point, or 'we deserved a draw' f**k that, we need to beat Fulham and Newcastle because with Arsenal, Swansea and Man Utd on the horizon, we need points.

The first thing is that people can't seem to wait criticise our own players, tactics, style of play etc.
I don't think there is anything wrong with disagreeing with squad or tactic selection and indeed surely that is one of the main reasons for a cardiff city message board, but some people on here seem to love slating our players and club which is something I find bizarre!
The second thing I find a bit puzzling is that people are expecting us to go to places like fulham and pick up 3 points like we are playing darlington away!
Why do people thing that going to Fulham is gonna be such a walkover?
In Dimitar Berbatov alone, they have Man Utd's most expensive signing ever! They have Darren Bent, champions league winner riise, taraabt who raped us twice for qpr, scott parker as well as many other top players.
I remember the jacks getting promoted a few years ago and they were just happy to enjoy the ride (half expecting to be relegated), but our fans (forum users especially) seem to think that we have the divine right to beat anyone.
I'm not saying we cant beat fulham, but what I am saying is that I won't be surprised if we come away from craven cottage with nothing on saturday. It's gonna be a long, hard season lads and I dont think false expectations are a good thing. We have done superbly to get off to a decent start this season and anyone who thinks we should abandon the tactics we have adopted so far this season and go all out attack is mental imo. I'm happy to adopt the same tactics and hopefully we may get a bit more of the ball to counter with than we have against the likes of Spurs.
I'd take a draw now

The only problem I seen is how shy our players are to shoot.. we are doing nothing wrong just seen KIM have a handful of times to shoot but some how never bothers.
