Thats not strictly true in this league. A win against Hull is far more valuable than a win against the likes of man utd and man city because not only are you gaining 3 points yourslef but stopping Hull getting the 3 points. It doesnt really matter if you stop man city or utd getting 3 points. Games like these are true 6 pointers.

It is totally true. You don't get any extra bonus points for beating Hull.
It's not a "must-win" game. If we don't win, we aren't automatically relegated.![]()
It would be great to beat a perceived rival, but it's not a "must-win".

A definate MUST NOT LOSE (or loose depending where ur from)
Home form vital but a staying up team gets away points and draws
Currently we have a full first team
Through the season we may get injuries and suspensions
Lose form etc.
So massive to get points when ur in form.
Hopefully Pete the Baggie will start notching goals
As it is crucial we get a decent goals scored per good goal chance
Ratio.
This game is opportunity to get 3 points which can take pressure off us and
Put pressure on to others.
Come on City - let's do the ULL boys

Since then both teams have brought in a number of new players so have you views changed ?
I see these games against Hull as our cup final game in our survival to stay in the Premiership. Its imperative that we don't loose against them . To me these games hold far more significance than the Man CIty games although some may argue that it doesn't matter where the points come from in our battle to stay in the division.
Anyone else attaching more importance to these games than the glamour matches ?

6 pointer very important, if we win that's three points they can't get, we need to win these games more than Man City, not for our thee points which are the same, but more for them missing out on more points.....

I agree that we must be beating the teams who are expected to be around the bottom of the league, yes every point is important but we must be realistic and days like the Man City won't happen to often this season.
