The funny thing is smith aint getting any younger where as is legs are going on him conway is younger and looks fitter and in my view think conway is better in every department over smith. Maybe cause conway is desperate to play its easier to let him go cause he cant get in the team and have all the complaining. As for smith think he is happy to pick up his pay and sit on the bench and be a premier league player.I would prefer someone fighting to get in a team and not being happy at not being in the team than someone happy to sit on the bench.

Malky knows Smith will tow the line and just get on with it and train well if not in the squad. Conway on the other hand might get grumpy and might have already been offered a loan move for all we know

Conway moaned and although he done well last season he's too one dimensional for the Premier League, pace isn't his strongest, not a smart enough player on the ball, Smith on the other hand is a good passer of the ball, Premier League experience to back him up and can chip in. Play Winger or Striker, he's not an out and out winger either which is what we're playing this season so far, we're playing with players such as Kimbo who aren't wingers but are AM's. Good decision Malky

Didn't it get mentioned before that Conway had a promotion clause which doubled his pay if we got promoted? maybe Malky doesn't feel he's worth his pay so wants to farm him out on loan with the intention of selling in Jan?

I'm surprised Cowie got in over Conway considering the amount of CM's we have.

To be fair i would have preferred conway to smith but who ever got picked in my opinion neither will play hardy any premier league games they will play cup games to give our first team players a rest

Nice guy good player but could he cut it at the premiership? Not so sure.. Also who would he ever play over? Id always rather noone on then conway, but agree id rather have him than tommy smith unless
Smith can regain the form before he got injured.

I feel gutted for Conway as I thought he was instrumental in our promotion but to compare him with cowie I can't understand as cowie can play anywhere in midfield so I don't think it's cowie or Conway. Only my opinion

MM has gone for Smith's experience however the way Conway played particularly towards the end of last season definitely deserves to be in the 25.

In Malky we trust, he picked the best squad and works with the players every day, I trust his judgement more than fans....

I think Smith is in over Conway as Malky sees Smith as a better defensive option.

We shouldn't forget John, Cornelius, Harris and Amandarain. I'd expect them all to make a squad at some point this season.

It was probably a close call between Smith & Conway. What happens to Lappin, Conway, Kiss & Velikonja now?

Lappin and Conway I assume will either go to a Championship or Scottish Premier side on loan. Kiss & Velikonja seem to be regulars in the Development Team and would be missed if they went - I have a feeling they might be loaned overseas though.
