Jason Mohammed

Thu Aug 22, 2013 7:18 pm

I've just listened to the radio phone in today with Sian, Gwyn and Jason Mohammed.

I'm disgusted by how arrogant and dismissive Jason Mohammed was. I've got no respect for the guy. The way he spoke to Sian was bang out of order.

Can't really fault Gwyn, even though I disagree with his opinion, at least he presents it in a respectful and constructive way.

I think we should troll the shit out of Jason Mohammed and everything he does from now on.

Destroy his radio show Anonymous style.

I think his stance was the topic of conversation. He set it up right in the beginning.

It wasn't a who's right who's wrong sort of debate. The topic was basically why all the fuss when we are now in the Premier League?

Still wrong though and probably gave BU a bit more kudos.

It was just the way he spoke to her mate, I found it very dismissive and condescending.

Regardless of what my feelings are of the rebrand, it doesn't cost anything to be nice and I feel his arrogance over stepped the mark.

I'd expect a lot more from a BBC production. It was absolutely shocking conduct.

It's his style, he does it with every topic. He thinks he's Jeremy Kyle on some of the topics they do.

Its his style to be objective get over it. He does it every topic, every day. Its not personal.

Its a presenters / journos job to ask awkward questions and lets be fair its a fair question.

I listen to his show most days its a good show. Hes a good journo. Just for cutting Adam Brown off his show
mid rant hes a legend.

There's a difference between asking awkward, difficult questions and being downright disrespectful.

I've interviewed plenty of people in my line of work and asked the awkward questions to obtain good material, but you never have to be disrespectful.

There's no need for it.

I have no emotion, I just dislike bullies.

I feel he belittled Sian and threw his weight around. No need for it.

If that's how he treats people, it's no wonder he's been stuck in small time regional reporting for years.

my rant is proven to be correct mind Polo because Coleman is a joke!!!

The issue here is that the BBC try and tell everyone that they are above everyone else and their theory on that is to be impartial however JM was far from impartial during this debate.

Welsh media all want a bit of Tan so they have their own agenda on this issue hence why BU haven't been able to get much media coverage whatsoever!!!

He does the sport on national tv now at breakfast time.

Each to their own, I think hes a good presenter and certainly didnt think he bullied Sian.

Maybe im used to his show and his style.

The sign of a good journalist is someone who has the ability to remain impartial, he failed miserably!

It's just the way he is, why he has the job he has,he is very good at his job, why he is moving up in his career.

Totally disagree, the guy was totally biased in his view and no way impartial. But you are right on one thing, that's why he's doing the job he is!! ( working for BBC Wales)

He will not get any further in his career without having the ability to remain impartial, easier to have a go at Sian than Gwyn and that's the option he chose, poor journalism in every aspect!!

I have to agree, both Gwyn and Sian spoke very well, however I got the impression Mohammed's personal opinion on the matter came out in his questions, incredibly unprofessional from someone i've always regarded highly in the past

Re: Jason Mohammed

I used to enjoy his lunchtime show on Radio Wales but I think he takes the devil's advocate role too far, and ends up coming across overly harsh as a result.

That said, I didn't hear this particular debate.

He simply questioned Sian's argument which had so many holes in it BU were sinking without a trace. I'm sorry but if part of your argument is VT couldn't rebrand because the 'few' who used to watch City when they were in the lower divisions are against it then you are going to face absolute ridicule as the whole concept is tripe.

It was totally comical for someone to use that argument especially as Gwyn (a person who has been around for 43 years supporting City) was proof she absolutely wrong in that assumption. Not only that but how the hell is she going to get people on board with BU if she uses that argument as it disallows anyone under 45 a say?

It is totally preposterous and it's about time she woke up to it and got outside the BU bubble and tried to understand the people she should be reaching out to better rather than trying to imposing ridiculous criteria in order to win an argument.

Sorry Jason Mohammed did nothing wrong and as a journalist he saw an open goal and took it and to suggest that we target him anonymously is both childish and cowardly.

Jason Mohammed is a Cardiff born spurs plastic. Is it any wonder that he can't understand real football fans on this issue? He shouldn't be on BBC Wales for this very reason. I'd rather see a jack presenter than a spurs plastic. Thought he was a great guy but what a tosser.

Sian Branson got stitched up an unprofessional Tw@t but refused to get bogged down by his silly questions about where she was a year ago, completely irrelevant to the bigger issue. She's intelligent and streetwise on the interviews.

I completely disagree with Gwyn but he sounded alright compared to some of the nonesense he posts on here.

Spot on,Bu and its members are way to sensitive, what do people think he asked her on the show for, gardening tips.
Now Bu members feel the need to attack jm,they've got to realise that the majority of fans don't agree with them or their actions.Your right tony they have to get out of this bubble they've created and look at the bigger picture as Gwynn stated.
