"THIS IS NOT A HOOLIGAN THREAD...BUT"!!!

Wed Aug 21, 2013 12:34 pm

Hopefully Cardiff fans will flock into town before and after the match and raise the roof in the pubs.Man city fans say they will be drinking in town so let's show them how vocal we are and hopefully there will be plenty of banter between the two sets of fans.Let's fill the prince of wales and o'neils like we used to,better than canton where you never see an away fan!!

Gary Neville is expecting our home games to be a "MAYHEM. I think the crowds are going to be a massive factor, when you come up (premier league) you really are expecting the home stadium something special, that's where Cardiff just edge it. i think the crowd and atmosphere will be incredible ".

Neville is going to be very disappointed then. Cardiff City Stadium is like visiting a library. Too quiet, with no atmosphere.

I doubt you know a lot about football then.
First home game in the prem, Man.C the opponents, 27,000 sell out stadium.

Library, pft! :D

What difference does that make?
Alot of our fans will be new fans so don't know the chants... If we go 1-0 down then it will kill our atmosphere as it always does at CCS... Old Trafford is a 67,000 seater and is always quiet as a mouse...

Don't get me wrong, I don't expect the stadium to be quiet at all but "MAYHEM"?... I highly doubt that. Mayhem is where you will find at Selhurst Park... The Palace fans sing constantly. I think we need drums in our stadium. That would be beast. It always gets the atmosphere up in games.

couldnt agree more, I think this season is going to show what kind of atmosphere we can produce.

for a good few years winning has been expected and has lacked emotion from fans, now with our backs against the wall watch our fans roar.

Totally disagree with your Palace observation mate. They do make a noise but it's hardly mayhem, it's more like a choir! Theyre attacking and they sing cpfc, the ref makes a bad decision theyre still singing cpfc, one of their players gets punched theyre still singing cpfc!

I'd like us to make a racket but I also want us to call the ref a kunt and appeal for every decision lile our lives depend on it

I think Gary Neville is going by what Rio Ferdinand told him about Leeds. Things have changed and i think it'll be a disapointment, is the CCS well designed to reverberate noise? Always seems quiet to me.

My opinion is that there's no atmosphere in the new stadium, and from that you deduce that i don't know much about football.

Where's the logic in that then ?

Another strange reaction. Just because my opinion is that there is no atmosphere at the new stadium then that makes me a bellend.

Ok then, would you prefer me to say that the crowd gets behind the team for 90 minutes, making loads of noise and making it intimidating for the opposition. I may not be a bellend in your opinion now, but i'd certainly be a liar.

Palace ultras are cringeworthy cunts. I'd rather a library than wankers like that singing choreographed songs and bouncing about. My life.

Just seen a couple of your other posts from today regards "where is the best place to drink" and "what will Canton be like".

I may be wrong, but the impression you give is that you don't go to matches that much and haven't been to the Cardiff City stadium very often, so to judge me when i give a valid opinion seems a touch out of place.

I was thinking that... The post when he called you a bellend was only his 6th post..

I noticed that his others were basically asking questions which you would understand if you had been a City fan for a long time.

I bet he wasn't even at the top home games last season... haha

Totally agree with this. The atmosphere at The CCS is probably the last thing that'll put off Prem. teams this season - in fact, it'll probably HELP them!

Too many so called pundits haven't even been to Cardiff since we left NP

YumYum more like DickDick.

I, like many on here have witnessed City fans create mayhem & been at Ninian Park on many, many occasions when the atmosphere has been electric with the ground pumping.
Unfortunately this is a thing of the past.

Its been a really poor atmosphere the last few years, needing a drum was embarrassing and i would hate to see it back but it did really improve things.
no reason we cant all get behind the side and sing our hearts outon Sunday, hopefully the occassion will be a catalyst and expectations will be less so we don't get on their backs

Personally, I hate drums at football matches.
The same applies to trumpets etc. like those knobs that follow England playing 'I'm h.a.p.p.y.'
Also while I'm having a moan I also hate music being played when a goal is scored trying to create a false atmosphere.

Good shout. I'm a City Centre drinker and the number of Cardiff in the pubs are getting less and less each season. I've been in the POW when we are nye on outnumbered by away fans (well outnumbered for Millwall home). These Prem teams are going to pile into pubs like POW and for me it's fairly embarrasing getting totally outnumbered in these places. With regards to the atmosphere... only the fans can change that. :ayatollah:
