Personally think Hess a bit same-y, but probably is better than Shearer, Hansen, Lawrenson and Thomspson. The latter three seem to have not played the game in too long to be any enter than your average fan now. Maybe thats a tad harsh.

The only people I've heard complaining are older people....you know...more likely to have hearing problems or less well off hearing.

Joey Barton even said on Twitter that Jamie Carragher was right and although he was high pitched at times, he was mostly very easy to understand. I personally found him really easy to understand but then I've met loads of people from around the world so his accent is not really hard to understand for me.

I did not like Gary Neville as a player but as a pundit on Sky he is A1. He knows his stuff and he speaks the truth. If someone is bad he will say so regardless.
