Seen this on twitter "Application for phase 1 development of CCS submitted to local authorities."
Anyone think it looks f*cking stupid to have the old roof not attached to the new roof, I understand its higher but would look better to have some curved roof that links it all up to make it look like it should to be there.

Gives the stadium a bit of unique character looking at that in my opinion

It does look different and might turn a stadium that had little identity into something of a statement but still thinks it makes a modern stadium look a little old fashion.

gives it the option to raise the other 3 stands. exciting

Don't know what to think tbh. Reminds me of Elland Road and that's not a good thing!

I think it looks really good.
Definitely adds a bit of character to what is essentially a flatpack from the ikea down the bay.
The only worry is the noise that may be lost out of the gaps.

Looks much better and more modern.

Correct, this is the first phase,I assume it will all be joined up when the other phases are done.Looks brilliant imo.

Looks great

Looks pucka! I hate the borin circle shape we have now, adds a bit of character to the stadium. Go for it VT!

Fantastic, gives it a bit of character and makes it stand out from the standard bowls that were built over the last 10 years.
I thought it was going to be exactly the same as the grandstand and the roof would go back on the same. Looks better in the plans though.

One bit of feedback i'd like to give is I'd like to see a glass facia on all of the new stands. Get rid of that cladding full stop!!!!!

That looks really nice
Thu Aug 15, 2013 8:56 pm
Feckin great!! Not only will I get pissed on from October onwards but from the plan it looks as if I'm going to get feckin soaked in 117 even when the new roof is on!!
I'm sure that the club will compensate those fans affected by the "improvements" by giving us discount on our season tickets next year

Wonder how it will affect the acoustics of the stadium

Reminds me of when Old Trafford started going upwards....

I was thinking the same, the noise might escape through gaps instead of echoing around the ground.

Yes what noise lol this will probably generate more noise abit like ninian park, our fans will be all over the away fans with that extra tier

I think it looks brilliant and makes the stadium more unique instead of our generic bowl stadium
Thu Aug 15, 2013 9:21 pm
I fancy relocating to the top tier, awesome view I would think.Wonder what the prices will be.
Thu Aug 15, 2013 9:22 pm
Why the hell don't they just add seats to the corners? Those pointless gaps are so annoying.
Doesn't look to bad though, I must say.
Going to look great in red
Thu Aug 15, 2013 9:24 pm
Get rid of the shitty different grey shade blocks and just perform a decent job. Other than that it's quite decent
Thu Aug 15, 2013 9:26 pm
I like it
Thu Aug 15, 2013 9:29 pm
The inside of the stadium is going to look world class! The outside needs to improve though it looks really cheap and tacky. Hopefully one day they will add glass instead
Thu Aug 15, 2013 9:33 pm
I am assuming they are hospitality boxes in the middle of the upper and lower tier or is it a bar area like on level 4?
If its a bar area like level 4 I am assuming the prices in the top tier will be similar £900-£1000 per year

I would think there will be a split, hospitality /corporate prices and general admission prices.

The more I look at it the more I like it.
Would be nice to see how it looks from the Canton and the Grange mind
