A nickname is not an official name but what a club is known as, fans will always know us as the bluebirds. That wont change.

If the younger generation want dragons then let them have dragons. They're the future.

I think you will be waiting a long time mate I haven't heard one chant of Come On You Reds! yet .All throughout last season all the songs coming from the Canton and Ninian were either our old favourites or Pro Blue.

So on this basis I guess you also think that the red scarf give away match was 'Brainwashing' as well?

It was a cheap bribe to try and get everyone to wear red, yes.

If it was just a free gift, there wouldn't be the added incentive of a free ST for wearing one.

Fair point. However, I would disagree by saying I dont think the club are brainwashing young fans.

Yet the very reason our forefathers gave us the nic name 10100 years previously, the colour BLUE, would have been long since stripped from our identity. As new generations of fans start watching City and the older generations die out, the old obsolete nic name will be consigned to a very distant history.....and this generation will be to blame for refusing to fight for what's actually important. All for the sake of a season or two in the Premier League ffs!
