If fans were given the choice to be blue or red I think that many would not be at all bothered about what colour we are, if fans are that bothered by the colour change then why are so many buying the red, I don't get it at all.
To me it looks like that many of our fans actually like the red, look how many fans were wearing it today, the red stood out massive today, every section I looked at there were plenty wearing red.
Is it that the majority of the fans who go away wear the blue, is it our away support that keeps the blue fighting string ?
I wear blue at home and away, today showed that the red is massive at home, yet before today all the away games blue out numbered the red

I bet it will die down come the Man City game and to a small minority come near the end of the season.
Don't forget that ALOT of our season ticket holders for this season are new fans so they obviously couldn't care about our clubs identity - they only care about the fact we are in the Premiership playing against the top teams in Britain...
IF we go 3-0 or 4-0 to a club at home next season watch how many red wearers are there come the final 10 minutes of the game!

3 or 4-0 DOWN is what I obviously mean

Simple really,I would imagine the fans who are wearing red are supporting the team called Cardiff City who play in red,not that too difficult to understand I think.

I wear my red shirt some times, sometimes I wear my blue shirt. What am I x
Sat Aug 03, 2013 6:12 pm
Could also be due to the fact that supporters want the 'Premiership' shirt....with the Premiership badge and because our club has not released the blue away kit yet a lot of supporters will automatically buy the one that is available ie. red.
Sat Aug 03, 2013 6:16 pm
Most people that go away don't wear colours, that's how it's always been with us, possibly down to being able to sneak a pint somewhere and also bledn in a bit easier if the Police try to bubble everyone up.

I wear my red shirt some times, sometimes I wear my blue shirt. What am I .You are a plastic half the time and a true supporter the other half, thats what some would say,Wear what you like mate ignore the idiots.

Like i said in the other thread how many have you called muppets in the stadium?
Sat Aug 03, 2013 7:31 pm
If a fan is willing to wear a red shirt and would choose Premiership football over our identity and the Bluebirds then that is the meaning of a glory hunter.
If someone is happy to wear a red shirt, it doesn't matter whether the fan has been a fan for 70 years or 70 minutes... If you are willing to give up on the colour you have always seen Cardiff play in just for your chance to watch the top 6 teams in the league then there really is no argument when someone calls you a glory hunter
HOWEVER, if purely you want to wear the red because that is the colour the team is wearing then I can understand the logic behind that. Personally, I would choose going back to the Championship and see my team play in blue - when the real passion was in the ground.
Last season was a piss take. The atmosphere was destroyed due to the divide in the fans and a lot of the pacesetters in the ground refused to buy another season ticket due to this as well.
I will never give up my season ticket because I know for a fact if I did that as a personal protest, I wouldn't be doing the blue identity any positive difference as a person in a red shirt would probably turn your seat red.

Get a grip lads! I bet you're the type of people who moan about jehovahs witnesses ramming their views down peoples throats yet that is what you attempt to do every single day on here!
People can wear what they want, people can leave when they want, people can sing they want,
FFS just let people do what they want!

What a shit example
Doesn't everyone get pissed off with Jehovah's ramming their views down peoples throats?
Let us not bring religion into this though, this is a football forum.
Of course people can do what they want. They are already doing what they want. The majority of our fans just don't agree with them for doing so... and rightly so in my opinion

Wow another thread based on red and blue... Just what this site needed.
Really getting boring and repetitive now.

When we start playing competitive games, the stands will be dominated by fans wearing blue as usual.
Today's crowd meant nothing.

They are hardly inane are they they?!?
So basically, you are calling people who want all fans to follow the true identity of the club stupid?
Those are what my 'blabbings' are about and there is nothing wrong with... I think you comparing BU to Jeovah's are rather inane.

I don't know if that will be true there were a lot of people buying red shirts today and they would hardly be plastics going to a meaningless friendly in fact the opposite
I think you underestimate the demand for the first ever premiership shirt

Every f*cking day, day in day out, I suggest you go and find a cause that may actually make a difference to peoples lives this whole thing is getting a tad embarrassing! I genuinely feel for people who don't feel they can have the same attachment to the club they once loved but this daily whinging about it on these boards is getting on my tits!
I know you'll say "well if you dont like it dont come on here" hopefully soon someone will tlstart a board where people can just talk about football and get on with following cardiff city and people like you can whinge to each other all day on here!
I'm neither red or blue but if my mates missus left him I'd listen to him moan for a while but if he was still moaning to me everyday for ten years I'd tell him to shut the f**k up

I didn't call anyone plastics. I'm just saying that our fan base is dominated by fans who wear blue and non-shirters.
We sold something like 100 shirts on the day of the release of the new home shirt, most over clubs sell thousands and even sell out on the first day, especially when they get promoted. Personally I'm waiting for the new blue shirt to be released.
We sold 10,000 red shirts last season, yet they were drowned out at matches last season. I'm not worried.

I thought you wasn't going to bother with me again? as you said "your a piece of shit"... isn't that correct?
Sian's disciples? A follower of a group run by someone doesn't make me a disciple
Does that mean you are a disciple for the rebrand as you support Tan?

Blue or red, if you support the City you're one of us as far as I'm concerned.
Wouldn't be so sure blue will be so strong against Man City, club shop was full of people buying the new red shirt today.
I just hope there will be respect and support for the team and fans whatever colour they wear.

If any fan had influence on what colour we would wear EVERYONE would say blue. There is no point in red apart from its what we play in now. We have always been a blue club, we are the bluebirds so there is no reason not to opt for blue.
The reason many people have bought the red kit is because they don't have any influence at all on what we wear & red is the shirt our team play in.
Not knocking any reds - reluctant or otherwise - but there is no one who wouldn't change back to blue if we were give a choice.
