Swansea will finish above us by a country mile.

But we are still the bigger club and will have our day.

On what do you base this? The Malmo game? See we are still three players short and our manager
has pretty much said as much. So we have no clue as to how we will line up week in week out yet.
So me, even as a staunch jack hating City fan wont say we will. But
by the same token, how can YOU say we wont?

Been in The George all day Pontypool Bluebird???
The Jacks are way ahead of us at the moment and the table will show it after 38 games. Be interesting to see the difference after 2 or 3 seasons though.

It's just common sense. Our only hope would be Swansea having a squad and energy sapping European run. With it we may get close, but if they go out in the Europe League Play Offs, we are buggered.

They'll finish above us but if we have a great season we might not be far away from them.

Probably too late to get any decent odds on us staying up???

Lets be honest......we've not got much to meter Cardiff against yet.

These final 2 friendlies should do the trick though with our current squad.........because judging by our transfer activity, there are definitely more signings to come.

Gut feeling says we'll beat the drop......head says be content with that but, heart says a finish above the Jack's would be the one, top 10!!

Things change so quickly in football and that's proved by the rise of Swansea City.

It sticks in my throat to admit it but while we were treading water under Jones & Ridsdale the Swans stole (no pun intended) a march and made it to the PL.

They have stabilised over the past 2 seasons and had amazing luck by collecting over the top transfer fees for Allan and Sinclair, not to mention compensation for their managers.

When you add that to the TV monies for 2 full seasons it is no wonder they are thriving.

However, they have a glass ceiling and eventually that luck will run out. Spooked by our promotion they have already committed substantial fees/wages on players without any real plan for the future apart from selling Ashley Williams at some stage. That will catch up with them eventually

We also have a risky future plan but if it comes off it will be far more sustainable than hoping someone will buys out your manager or Captain.

That's why I believe we will probably have to put up with Swansea for another season or two but eventually we should gallop off onto far bigger things whilst they slip back to their once a decade Administration status and League 2 football.

From an outsiders view; Swansea City to finish 8th, Cardiff City to finish 18th, Newport County to finish 12th, Wrexham to finish 1st. ;)

I don't see how you guys can honestly say Cardiff are BETTER than Swansea... It's ridiculous. Mind you, Reading fans said that about West Ham United, and they got buried whilst the Irons finished top 10.

Out of interest what is your plan for the future ?

We are far better than you and will be for years to come .... Enjoy your relegation battle.

Obviously the jacks will finish above us this coming season as our priority has got to be survival and anything more will be a welcome bonus but, if (it's a very big IF!) they don't finish above us and we do manage to beat them I hope they're ready for shitloads of abuse off us after all we've had to put up with off them for the last couple of years! :ayatollah: :malky:

Swansea will be looking for Top 10 this season. Where as Cardiff will be looking to consolidate their position in the premier league and that will be deemed a success.

   you really believe that? get over yourself for f*cks sake

We have a natural progression, fuelled by our success on the field and growing reputation in the footballing world, if you think that we have bought players just because you lot have been promoted then your are sadly deluded.

Its you lot who are mortgaging yourselves to the hilt once again, just to try to catch up with us... I can see QPR Mk2 on the horizon ;)

Whatever I believe is up to me and I have every right to post it on a CARDIFF CITY message board without running it past the Jack b*stard Ministry of Bullshit. If anyone has mental health problems then it would be a fan of our second biggest rivals posting on our board.

It's called Attention Defect Disorder, you should seek treatment URGENTLY 8-)

Jack, you wouldn't post on here so often and so negatively if you weren't looking over your shoulder...FACT!

PS: I like the Avatar. Have to say you bear a striking resemblance to our own Mark Hudson but you seriously need to get a 'nose job' on that embarrassing hooter of yours. I bet you get some shit for that down in the Dark Continent  :ayatollah:

I agree, I'm sure Swansea will make certain signings that they would not have made, had it not been for the added element of their biggest rivals now competing with them once more. The same goes for us, neither club, board or manager will want to lose face to one another.

The Jack Hunts will finish higher than us this season. They have two seasons experience & cash to give them that advantage.

You honestly believe that? Really?
I think its more likely that we made certain signings due ti the extra demands of the europa league, extra tv money and the desire to improve. To even contemplate for a second that your promotion has any bearing on our transfer policy is simply madness.
