Our society continually fails to serve the people.
Sadly we are living in a world were the authorities are wanting to control the people instead of protecting them. Leadership hides behind the "we are a democracy" therefore we choose. What that means to them is you elect us, we make the rules and that's it. They seem to get away with not enforcing these rules.

If we were a democracy ( which sadly we no longer are) We'd be able to deport all the terrorists, rapists, war criminals, illegal immigrants, foreign mafias, etc. But the communist/ marxist EU is boss and our parliament sticks to the rules that they signed up to ( against the wishes of the majority). The three party system is committed to continue our demise as a nation and come election time, the same old lies and spin will continue and the masses of sheep will vote like it's their football team.
Don't complain, if you continue to support and vote Liberal, Conservative or Labour - they're now one big party supporting the lunatics in Brussels!!!

I see the point both of you make, however, what happened to that kid should never have happened as we have all the necessary agencies in place.I'd like to see a full scale public enquiry into how the social services and the police and other agencies failed this kid.I wonder how many children are in a similar situation right now as I type this.

Sneggy that is well put and I can't agree more but we do have everything in place. However as I said in my post above its the enforcing that makes it work.
With regards to Gaz post I share his frustration. I can't agree with his democratic statement as we do have elections but I can uunderstand why he feels we don't have democracy. Two prime examples I can give from my experiences:
1. My little girl had a football kicked in her face at a game a couple of seasons ago. I went down the police route and got as far as the CPS. All evidence was there for a conviction but the CPS stopped it. Why because it would have cost money to go further and I'm just a small stone. Of course I could have gone private at my expense but you know what they say about justice in this country, its for everyone just like the Ritz hotel.
2. I've worked for a few companies here in the UK since returning from abroad. Each one except my present one employs foreigners in one capacity or another where a local could do the job. There was one case that really rattled me, an Indian on a visit visa, the company removed a local so this guy could do his duties. This stunk to high heaven so I reported it to the immigration authorities. I did it online and gave all the details. At the end of the report a message came on the screen thanking me for my time but then concluded that they would not inform me of their investigations. That really installed confidence in me that they would take it serious NOT.
You see what I'm seeing is elected governments promise, do the cosmetics but don't do the hard work. I won't be bothering with the main 3 parties again but would rather give someone else the chance.

My Mrs is a teacher in a primary school up this way and there's a young black kid who comes into school undernourished and losing weight daily. His mother apparently is a beast of a women,a big Nigerian who all the teachers are scared of.The little lad comes into school and is fed by the teachers, biscuits and milk, which is his favourite choice of food.My Mrs is forever talking about him and is worried sick.Social services are aware of what is happening and the same thing happens time and time again.NOTHING.
All the teachers there were dreading the summer holidays and 7 weeks of not being able to keep an eye on him while he's not at school. They all fear another baby.P incident.
I hope as im writing this and with what's happened with this little Polish kid that they are now actively seeking to take him away from his mother and into a safehouse but somehow I doubt it.
It's so easy to assume that 'they' know what they're doing, but do they really?

Well I hope for the kids sake this publicity will prompt the local social services into action.Maybe your misses could file an anonymous complaint,it all helps.

She wants to bring him home every night but can't obviously. There's only so much a teacher can do though. It's seen as they've done their bit by informing SS but it is then out of their hands. He's looked after well whilst under their guidance but once he leaves those gates then it's out of their control. She'd kill me if she knew I was talking about this on here but it felt warranted.
