Gestede is absolute quality. Malky, being the genius he is knew Gestede would turn into a Henry/Adebayor hybrid at 27 years of age and signed him up early. Now, like his very own Frankenstein project he'll turn him into an absolute beast who'll rain terror on the Premier League.

Within the next 3 years Gestede will score 10 goals minimum in the Premier League and thats better than Shevchenko (also world class) did in 3 years at Chelsea. (he scored 9). That alone will prove how talented the boy from Benin really is.

We had no strikers that did very well last year. Campbell came in and showed that real bit of quality, whereas Rudy showed he was wasteful and a poor mans Jay Bothroyd.

Malky is well aware of Rudy's world class potential thanks. He's a proven manager at Championship level so I will take his judgement before yours. Rudy started often from the bench because Malky knew he could bring him on to do the business - he can easily play the role of supersub much like Solskjaer or Sheringham in their prime.

Helguson was excellent & for his lack of height, held the ball up extremely well. He could do things that Rudy can only dream of.. At the arse end of his career too. What a pro.
