That would be my pairing too but Malky has already said Hudson will have the armband. I feel sorry for Turner!

Hudson and caulker. Hudsons class can't understand the lack of belief in our captain by some of our fans.

Cant see how Hudson would get in Turners a left sided central defender both Hudson and Caulker are righty sided. No disrespect to Hudson but he's not in the same class as Caulker

Hudson and Caulker for me, Hudson's reading of the game, intelligence and leadership on the pitch is massive to us, he was an absolute warrior last year and seasons before that. With Caulker I think he'll bring an added calmness to our back four, both Hudson and Caulker are comfortable on the ball and can play out of defence, our ball retention this season is going to be far more important than any other season. I also think Caulkers pace and athleticism will compliment Hudson really nicely and both are dangerous in the oppositions box.

Caulker's signing is massive !

Caulker & Turner would be my choice as well, but is Caulker able to marshall the back four as well as Hudson did last season, because when Turner and Connolly played alongside each other whilst Hudson was out injured and prior to us signing Leon Barnett, neither of them showed that they were capable of leading the line, IMO!

I'm happy to leave the choice with Malky on this one!

Hudson will probably play along Caulker. Hudson knows how to command the back four and he's naturally a gifted captain and leader.

Caulker is right footed and Turner is left footed so that combination would make sense but harsh on Hudson.
Still good news for us and players wil have to step up if they get the chance if they want to play every week

What's there to say we won't go 5-3-1-1 5-3-2? No wingers come in, big target man to work with a speedster. The 3cbs gives Brayford and Taylor freedom to play to their strengths! Not saying it will happen, just a small possibility I guess

I would personally go for Caulker and Hudson! Saying that as a previous poster said we might play with 5 in the back which I suppose would be a decent option with out attack minded full backs.

I wasn't there and have no idea of how anyone performed, but it should be remembered that he's been out for a while and it is only pre-season at the moment.
