Caulker deal

According to reports on twitter the deal is stalling because Spurs want a sell on clause stating that Spurs get first refusal for first 2 seasons and at the same price they sell him to us

madness if true, if in 2 seasons time spurs want him back, its because he will have developed as a player with us, and thus, will be worth more than we paid for him.

My thoughts exactly. Malky would be crazy to agree with this. 1 of the benefits of signing a young international is a profit when sold on. Very good signing if it comes off but not too sure about this clause

They were saying last night that it was a done deal and would be finalised by thursday. Citygent retweeted this and he's been on the money lately

Is Capoue a bigger name? I had never heard of him before our attempts at signing him, where Caulker is a name I'm quite familiar with. A pedantic reply, but alas the truth of the matter.

The majority on here hadnt heard of Capoue up until last week and I daresay most of the
British Football Public hadnt either. Caulker is well known. I got a jack doing some landscape
gardening outside. proper football fan too. i just told him Caulker is looking imminent. Fair
play his face just fell through the floor

I don't think hes a big enough name to be a catalyst. He doesn't have a European reputation.

But the important thing is hes simply an excellent player and will transform the defence that has seemed shaky in pre season. Spurs fans wont be happy that's for sure Caulker and Bale out the door.
