Minority protest

Tue Jul 30, 2013 7:20 pm

BU please think on regarding March.

Like it or not you are in the minority over the rebrand to the extent of protest group.

Man City home is a celebration of Cardiff City back in the big time. Live on Sky where hopefully our home support will be loud and proud.

Media coverage will undermine our celebration and i worry could also see friction amongst our own fans.

Hope you recoonsider and put Cardiff Citys great day ahead of your own views.

Maybe you should give Tan your advice too. "Put Cardiff City ahead of your own views".

I can't see how a peaceful celebration of blue can be construed as unhelpful to Cardiff. Players won't even know about it.

Are you that blinkered you can't see a protest march will take a bit away from a day of celebration?

Seeing my team walk out in red at home will take away from it more than a peaceful protest regarding our clubs horrific rebrand.

Don't go if it hurts that badly. We're in a free country and nobody is forcing you.

Who are you to tell me what to do?! :laughing5:

Don't go if fans fighting for their club's rightful identity hurts that badly.... ;)

"We're in a free country" - so why are you telling people what to do regarding this march? hypocrite.

All we ask is you don't upset or offend Vincent Tan. :ayatollah: :malky:

Throughout history if people refused to stand up for what they believe in, just because they were in a minority, then we'd be living in a pretty fucked up world right now.

Thankfully not everyone is like you. Some people are strong enough to stand up for what they believe in.

Bluebirds Unite maybe a minority but the support for our return to Blue and a badge we can be proud of is overwhelming.

You know this and next season "We'll always be blue" will be rocking all over the CCS at every game.

Aint a minority mate, the majority want us in blue, just want to show it without affecting the team :ayatollah:

I gave you an option if it hurts so much.

Im going BU or not my plea was for Cardiff City to have day of celebration not gate crashed by a minority group.

Re read my post, i asked them to reconsider.

No, you told me "don't go" which is none of your business.

In your own words, "it's a FREE WORLD".

Why, because I challenge your posts?

Good for you. So do I, but Cardiff should always be in blue at home.

Re: Minority protest

What a car crash of a thread.

The Manchester City game is not a celebration of being in the premier league, that came last May when we were promoted. I have no issue with BU deciding to march for that game, whatever that even means. I doubt many will march with them as the priority for many will be the pre match pint and to get to their seats to support the boys when they come out.

Tan won't give a shit if fans march before the game, I think he will be thrilled that so many of members of BU have parted with their cash to financially back him and his rebrand.

You'd have protested against blue back in riverside days then??

Who knows. Wasn't there. I've supported this club over 20 years and as long as I've known it, it is a BLUE club. We are called the BLUEbirds.

We should be in blue. Surely even you can admit that.

I've always said i'd prefer us in blue but a thriving cardiff city means more than a shirt colour to me. Just my own opinion.

Why should we be in blue in your opinion?

Deep down, you know we should be blue. Blue is CCFC's rightful colours.

Re: Minority protest

Yes. Even the people who rent bothered about the rebrand realise Cardiff should be in blue. Everyone would like to see Cardiff in blue, I've not met one person who would prefer to stay red if given a free choice.

It's just some feel a lot stronger than others.

Well 95% of supporters are very apathetic about it. Still not sure why we should be in blue? Why is the colour of the shirt more important than the well being of the club?

How is a celebration walk from the castle to the ground wearing City shirts anything but negative? If that has become a negative, then you need to wonder what the hell has happened to the club!

I've waited my whole life to see City in the Premier. I'm not going to be told how to honour it by you or anyone else.

And the ones who feel really really strongly have decided not to attend... I'll take lectures from them.

You bought your season ticket for this season knowingly endorsing VT red revolution, because that's what your season ticket sale says.

I don't like red, but I am getting fed up with some of the BU types proclaiming their devoutness and superiority over "normals" whilst they have followed exactly the same path as me.....

One problem for the BU bandwagon, what happen if Tan is wrong and you are not the proclaimed 5% and in reality and physical evidence barely muster 1% ? Will you get 240 ?

I'd say it was a lot bigger than that. Where did I say the shirt was more important than the well being? Stop making things up.
