Because(you silly bugger)we are tendering for the servicing and refurb of these beasts in Wales so it makes sense(to all but you it would seem)to make sure they can land here.

Because the best way forward for the country was to knock it down and build a Sevenside Airport like it was suggested to them by an independent study which was actually paid by the Taxpayer and realised their findings just weeks before they brought the airport!!! However they wanted to waste our money in an attempt to use the Airport as a propaganda tool in the short term until people start realising that the project was completely flawed from the start.

I can assure you from my time of being on the taxis if for whatever reason a plane was diverted to Cardiff then the airline was hire out coaches and transport the passengers to the original distination apart from the crew who have to stay with the aircraft until they get it to the distination. It is a complete non-story and if you look at the social media tonight the reports on this has got many its believing that the A380 will be running regular trips to god knows where very soon. Hense why I'm convinced that pure Propaganda especially at a time when the UHW Hospital are having people die while waiting for operations!!!!

What a riduclous comment. As previous stated I fully understand it as a divertion airport for such an emergency but the news DIDN'T protray it like that. They promoted it as a business report for Wales and not a report for the real reasons of why it arrived at the airport today. The idea behind Sevenside Airport is for both Bristol and Cardiff to close and to bring both companies together and build a far bigger airport with better transport links off the M4 which would help make more profits and either could make going it alone.
