JACKS HAVE ASKED

Fri Jul 26, 2013 9:39 pm

Me on here a number of times lately how I think they will do this season, so for the 3rd season running, I will predict after getting it wrong on them the previous two seasons

3rd time lucky, here goes

They struggled the end of last season big time and they can't deny that and were found out.
The previous season to that they did well and played some good football.

But I honestly think this time they will come unstuck as they like small squads and if they manage to beat Malmo, that could be there down fall as their squad will be stretched and they will struggle big time.

But no matter what happens in Europe, I honestly see them saving us and them going down instead of us.
Book mark this, in fact it's 9/1 in the bookies, worth a punt.

As much as I want it to happen Annis, I think they will be just fine again this season.

They won't go down. But I don't think they'll be finishing 9th like last season. I do think they'll be in a relegation battle if the do alright in Europe but they definitely have enough about them to stay up

Have you been drinking? You're right about their poor finish to last season but there will be more than 3 teams worse than them and sadly they will be around mid table.

Re: JACKS HAVE ASKED

The Jacks will finish higher than us, they've strengthened in all areas needed and can juggle both the league and the Europa League, may finish lower than last season but I can see them being a force to be reckoned with in Europe

Re: JACKS HAVE ASKED

Fri Jul 26, 2013 9:48 pm

they'll finish safely this season, probably 12th or something!

I think that rollercoster has affected your brain mush.

Nice bit of fishing though and your last predictions on us made this forum far more interesting for us Jacks, just like this one will ;)

Just my thoughts, but your right it makes it interesting, most City fans on here so far have no faith in us and think you"ll finish higher than us Hmm

If you do finish higher than us for the 3rd year running, then I won't be commenting again on you

At this time (who knows what other players will come and go in both clubs) I think we will both be between 12 and 16.

Re: JACKS HAVE ASKED

Fri Jul 26, 2013 9:52 pm

They are going down. So much luck over past 10 years. Surely karma will haunt them after their credit shafting. Europa lge defeat to malmo will mean their larger squad will have disharmony. Can't wait for likes of NJ73 to disappear from here when they drop like a stone. Over rated and over hyped. :malky:

Re: JACKS HAVE ASKED

Fri Jul 26, 2013 9:55 pm

Can't see the Jacks going down.

However I do feel if they take their foot off the pedal this season they could quite easily be in a relegation battle. This could be applied to a few of the teams this season compared to last campaign. I predict a 2 division league this season instead of a 3 tier system that has developed over the last few seasons.

Good post that Annis...i think Laudrop will think about his position should European teams come in for him, as he would want to test his ability at Champions League level. That said, Huw Jenkins has sanctioned a squad that will keep them in the top flight, just. They will struggle big time after that, for the simple reason they now need to keep spending at a pace, to keep up with the top 10 teams in the division. Could all be too much for them in the Long Run.

After they won the league cup and were safe from relegation they didn't want to know, If Malky was their manager he would be furious!

Re: JACKS HAVE ASKED

I reckon they'll finish around mid table again

How many times does Laudrup have to say he's staying this season even tho CL clubs have been after him, a promise is a promise thats what he said :malky:

Re: JACKS HAVE ASKED

In all honesty, I think they will be ok, I think that striker will be a success, I think we will be safe too when Malky has finished in the transfer Market, we will have a much stronger first eleven and squad than we do right now.

We will both finish between 11th and 16 th this season, and we will piss all over them next season and finish above them for the next fifty seasons like previous decades :ayatollah:

Bit it is still unclear how the reserves cup winners European competition will affect them, you could be right Annis and it may stretch them just a little too far, fingers crossed :ayatollah:

Re: JACKS HAVE ASKED

I think their whole season will ride on the preliminary rounds of the Europa League.

Get to the group stages and their squad could be stretched and the PL campaign will suffer.

Go out to Malmo and they will benefit as they will have a squad that is three weeks ahead of all others, fitter and more together. Their season could then be the same as last year.

Re: JACKS HAVE ASKED

Fri Jul 26, 2013 10:21 pm

We've 2 starting 11's capable of competing in Europe and in the Premier League now. We've done what we needed to do,bought early and bought apparently well.I'm a lot more confident we can cope than i was a month ago.

You cant honestly say that he is content at a Club who cannot match his ambition. Start searching for a New Manager!

They won't go down, will they do aswell as last season? Maybe not, but can't see them gettin relegated

Re: JACKS HAVE ASKED

Fri Jul 26, 2013 11:07 pm

Well seeing as Swansea finished with the lowest point total ever to finish in the top half along with west ham I would jump to the conclusion they will find it tough but the last 3 seasons anyone in the bottom 12 could be in a relegation battle if they were unlucky. So it will be a big season for both of us. Especially if they get into the group stages of the Europa and their limited squad gets exposed like Newcastle.

Re: JACKS HAVE ASKED

Fri Jul 26, 2013 11:11 pm

We had a poor finish to last season too annis, does that mean we were found out too? And by championship teams!

The reality is they had nothing to play for after the cup win, they were sitting pretty in the top 10 and already qualified for Europe. The irony is they finished 9th which was the same position they were in before the apparent bad run.
