The 25-year-old Toulouse midfielder has been tracked by the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal in the past.

Harry Redknapp at QPR had an offer for him rejected in January. But Toulouse are now ready to let Capoue leave and Cardiff – beaten to Celtic’s Victor Wanyama by Southampton – have pounced.

This is the problem with being a new Prem side - we have to deal with potential mercenaries who may not want to sign for us in the first instance, then if they do, they want to feck off to a 'bigger' club...

The problem he's having is one of perception. We are perceived to be a Club about to start a long
hard struggle this season. Our owner and manager are obviously laughing their cocks off at that
idea and have plans to finish much higher. Sadly, players will turn us down. But eventually, Malky will
get us the right men in. Quality men. Not also rans and journeymen. So if the players we DO get in
are excited by his vision then they are the right men for us. If (like Ince and his daddy) they instead
think 'yeh but your not a big club' - then we really really dont want them either
