BID ACCEPTED - JOHN BRAYFORD

Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that the club has had a bid for Derby County right-back John Brayford accepted by the Rams.

The player has now been given permission to discuss personal terms with the Bluebirds and undergo a medical.

Brayford, who is entering the final year of his contract at Pride Park, expressed a desire to make the move and test himself at the highest level of football in the Premier League.

The 25-year old right-back whose former clubs include Crewe Alexandra and Burton Albion has made 117 appearances in total for the Rams since his move to Pride Park in May 2010.

An ever present in Nigel Clough’s side, he made 43 appearances in all competitions for the Pride Park club last season, scoring three goals in the process.

He's one of the players I've wanted the club to go after. Excellent news if he signs I must admit that I have not really seen him in action too often, but Premier League clubs have been linked with him plenty of times in the past. And he's been one of the top full-backs in the Football League for a while!
