Hammam "We need a massive overhaul''

Wed Jul 24, 2013 2:29 pm

EVERYONE posting on here was pretty much agreed that we are probably about
4 players short of having a bloody good side. A wide man, Central midfielder
and a couple of defenders - bingo - cooking with Gas!!! - Now the football guru
thinks we need a ''massive overhaul'' :o :o :o

Sam, your NOT here to get involved with the team, thank God.

Now go get the ice creams in and say something nice about Tan

Hes right.

Wether or not he should have said it in public and undermimed Malky is another matter.

Re: Hammam "We need a massive overhaul''

Wed Jul 24, 2013 2:41 pm

We do not need a massive overhaul. We need a few players to improve an already reasonable side.

Bollocks. You normally talk sense about football but four more players and we will have a bloody
good side if he gets the right ones in. FIVE in total for a transition to the Premiership is hardly
a massive overhaul.

Re: Hammam "We need a massive overhaul''

That should give the squad of players we already have, great confidence. I hope the fuk he does stay out of football matters at our club and doesn't start melding in malkys affairs, I can only see it ending in tears otherwise

Re: Hammam "We need a massive overhaul''

sticking his fecking nose in already. He's had pay his off got his seat to games and honorary "Pfftt" Presidents tag, now feck off and stay out of football club matters

Great way to undermine Malky already. What a tosser

Re: Hammam "We need a massive overhaul''

Wed Jul 24, 2013 2:49 pm

disrespectful to malky and the team that cruised to promotion with weeks to spare and embarrassing for the club imo. from the man who spent a fortune to get us into the championship
if this is the sort of advise he has to offer then lets hope tan ignores it.

5 first team players plus Cornelius is a massive overhaul. Its 60% of the outfield playyers.

I think we need 2 full backs, a centre back with pace, a DM, a winger and one more marquee signing upfront.

Sorry but for me last years squad players like Smith, Gestede, Nugent, Cowie, Mutch, Noone, etc.etc are just not good enough for this level.

Even Campbell who was brilliant for us and on paper one of our best players has strugglef at this level. Hopefully, like Routledge at Swansea he will take his latest chance.

Hammam is a tool. End of.

Re: Hammam "We need a massive overhaul''

With a side full of unproven players it's impossible to foresee how well or badly they will do in the premiership, so he is right.. An overhaul is needed..

We'll agree to disagree then. The majority of Championship and Premiership teams sign up
around 4 or 5 players every summer. For us to keep 6 or even 7 of out current first team is
no massive overhaul in my eyes. I do agree that Big Mouth should keep his trap shut, one
day on the job and he's already sticking his oar in

Re: Hammam "We need a massive overhaul''

Massive i don't think so. To keep that team spirit is very important. But a few things do need tweaking. I remember the Jacks didn't spend big on there first season. Have faith in some of our Players. Whitts will be massive and like a new signing if he is used as an attacking Midfielder and Kimbo i think will shine. Having Maynard back is a new signing for us. But there is an awfull lot of our players that will have to step up to the mark so lets see if they can do it. :malky: :malky: :malky:

Re: Hammam "We need a massive overhaul''

We won 3 of our last 13 games. We rarely won in style all season.

Anyone who thinks with this current squad we can just go and play the percentages and nick scrappy wins by keeping clean sheets and scoring a set piece, against teams at this level, are deluded.

Reading were similair to us the year before, a lot of single goal wins, barely improved their squad and got taught a lesson in how not to approach the PL.

Same will happen to us if we dont pull our finger out.

So why would he be sticking his nose in and undermining Malky already? What an out and out tosspot of the highest order the man is. We should all be bombarding Tan with emails warning him of how dangerous this man is to our football club. He sent Wimbledon back to the dark ages and we were within a whisker of the same thing the last time he was here. he's had his money now he should feck off. Don't think he will get a very good welcome from the majority of Cardiff City fans

Polo is right as is Hammam. I don't like the bloke but he is right and only a fool would disagree with him. I feel some are letting their emotions and views of Hammam get in the way of logical reasoning. Don't let your heart rule your head, if you do that then Hammam is winning.

He is right here. We need arguably 2-3 defenders, a central midfielder, wingers and possibly another striker in my opinion. You are looking at 5-6 players at minimum. Whether they're permanent signings or on loan is still to be seen but we need more players and we do need to invest.

We have signed one, I think we will sign another four. Like i said, thats a normal turnover for most
Clubs every season. Massive overhaul? he's saying the majority of the players here arent good enough.
Who the f**k does he think he is, one day into his nothing job casting aspersions on the squad (and
the manager)

He's life president at the club now. He is in a position higher than Malky and therefore has more right than Malky himself to make his feelings known to the public. If he feels we need a massive overhaul then that is fine and he can tell us. The problems start when he interferes with Malky and tells him he must sign a certain player to suit him. He can speak and discuss things with Malky but as long as Malky has the final say on his targets that's all that matters. Malky will have the final say. Twice Malky has got it right even though most give him credit for doing it once. He brought in players who got us to the cup final and stabilised us in the playoffs and although we lost it set the foundations for the following season to attack the transfer market again and push for promotion, which we achieved.

Hammam can write a book for all I care about our team. As long as he does not interfere his feelings are just that, feelings.

Do you really think he is in a higher position than Malky Mackay? :?

His is an ''honorary'' position.

Malky Mackay is the Clubs manager, hes on the payroll. If Hammam goes down the Vale and tells the
players to get out on the training pitch and do some sprints - they are going to tell him to f**k off

Interesting.

More interesting given that he knew the fanbase pretty well, that he's chosen not to be so
outspoken about the Rebrand.

Of course he is. If he isn't in a higher position then why has he got a representative on the board? You think Malky has a say on board matters. Filou will speak on behalf of Sam Hammam at meetings. His influence may be little in real terms but Tan may actually believe he knows a lot about football and therefore ask for his opinion on footballing matters. If Tan didn't care or want his opinion he'd have offered more money to get rid of him and be done with it. He obviously values Sam in some aspect whether we like it or not.
