Etien Copoue (Mail Online)

Mon Jul 22, 2013 9:30 pm

Cardiff City are launching an ambitious bid for Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue.
Manager Malky Mackay has faced a series of disappointments in his efforts to attract top players but is hopeful of persuading the 25-year-old to move to Wales.
Capoue is valued at £10million and is keen to play in the Premier League where he has attracted interest from Tottenham, Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal in the past year.

We are determined not to sign any old player but that requires patience. Bear in mind that we don't even know if we are actually in for any of these players anyway. What will be will be hope we are as ambitious as the papers say though. :malky:

Been linked to Man Utd, Athletico Madrid and Arsenal in the last month. Could be another one who is out of our league.

Probably go elsewhere then if other teams are interested.

I think we're going for players who we've got little chance of signing. Perhaps something's not quite right with or scouting set up.
Before long we will be bidding for messi and ronaldo as well

Nothing wrong with aiming for the stars, we are not losing nothing by trying

This story may have some substance to it. He is exactly the same position as Wanyama. I'd rather Copoue than Wanyama too.

Southampton got Gaston Ramirez (who was wanted by Inter Milan at the time, and still is) in their firts PL season, so why can't we get Copoue?

Daily Mail actually have some decent sources compared to most of the newspaper nowadays.

The Sun are the most shocking for Transfer news.

Maybe they will sell one of there players to fund the deal also can't see them going for Ince when a % will go to Liverpool. :ayatollah:

Think papers link them to players knowing Baines and Fellini could be sold, at the moment they don't have a pot to piss in.

Why wouldn't they go for a player just because their rivals have a clause?

The Mail have been spot on on us so far this window.

Hopefully we can seal a deal this time.

You're asking me a question on if i think we should strengthen and what areas? My sincere apologies for missing such a riveting and pertinent question. It doesn't take a genius to work out we're in the market for a defensive midfielder (there is another bid imminent) and that is also the case for a left winger( news to follow shortly on that), but instead of spending half of my life focussing on negativity like yourself
