Mon Jul 15, 2013 5:09 pm

My Team for West Ham would be 442 Diamond

1. Marshall
2. McNaughton
3. Taylor
4. Turner
5. Hudson
6. Gunnersson
7. Noone
8. Kim Bo
9. Big Con
10. Campbell
11. Bellamy

I now its not the squad numbers but you know what I mean.

Attack West Ham as I believe if we get into them early we will smash um

CCFC - Forever Blue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Team for West Ham

Mon Jul 15, 2013 5:15 pm

With a bit of luck there will be at least another 3/4 new faces in that starting 11.

Re: Team for West Ham

Mon Jul 15, 2013 5:16 pm

Hopefully you are correct but its been ever so slow up till now !!

Re: Team for West Ham

At the moment I would go with

Cb. Hudson
Lb. Connolly

Rm. Conway
Cm. gunnerson
Cm. Kimbo

Malky obviously wants those players in ASAP but for whatever reason it hasn't happened yet. I'm sure we will have a few more in by the West Ham game and hopefully a few more by the end of the transfer window.

Re: Team for West Ham

With those teams we will get a hiding

Conway is not good enough. Struggled to get past championship fullbacks, when he did his delivery was poor. IMO we desperately need a quality winger.a quality fullback and centre half.

As our squad stands...

Marshall
McNaughton Hudson Turner Lappin
Gunnarsson Whittingham
Bellamy Kim Conway
Cornelius

Subs: Lewis, Connolly, Cowie, Noone, Mason, Maynard, Campbell

Cornilues is not a centre attacking midfielder.

I think it will look more like this by kick off tbh

--------------------------------Marshall --------------------------------

New left back--- Hudson ----New centre back--- New right back

----------------gunnarsson------new holding midfielder-------------

--------Campbell/Maynard------kimbo-----------Bellamy-----------

--------------------------------cornelius----------------------------------

Re: Team for West Ham

I really worry for us with that defence especially if we get 1 or 2 injuries

I think that is about right apart from Taylor who is suspended for the first game. Expect another 2-3 new faces replaced in that starting 11.

care to suggest where it could be changed to improve it? involving the current squad...

Marshall.
Connelly Hudson Turner. Kev.

Noone. Gunner. Whitts or Kim Bellamy.

Campbell. Cornelius

How you want a striker who's never played premier league football to work up front on his own is beyond me.

I'm afraid the current squad wont cut it . Defensively I think we need two FBs & a mobile CH/Sweeper- al better than the current troops ! I hope Malky is on the job ! Still think we need to hit the bye-line more regularly too !

No Kimbo?

And we'll see who Malky goes with, but i very much expect him to play 1 up front, not 2, especially in away games.

And my guess that 1 striker will be our new record signing Cornelius.

We'll see who's right in less than a month. :ayatollah:

Meant to put Kim/Whitts in. Edited now. That's the only position I was stuck with. This won't be the side though only what we have now. I fully expect Malky to bring in a few more faces yet. I said earlier a winger and a few defenders are of upmost importance.

Re: Team for West Ham

A few changes with the arrivals of new faces I hope but I think our current best starting 11 is something like this.
Not necessarily out finishing 11 either as I believe Nooney is hot and cold and if Mcnaughts had a delivery he'd be good enough for the majority of premiereship teams.
I really think Malky will want to make sure we have bodies in Midfield for the early matches especially.

Ffs if we dont sign anyone before the west ham game
Gunnerson and mutch will start in the middle
Why has everyone not included mutch ffs
Have we sold him or is he injured
My team from what we have now would be
Marshall
Connolly hudson turner declan john
Bellamy gunnerson mutch conway
Kimbo
Cornelious
I would pick conway as protection for john :ayatollah:

This team will get nothing but a defeat at westham i feel, unless we get 3-4 more better players in, seven of them played westham twice i think its seven anyway and we got hammered in the playoffs yet westham are stronger imo now than back then :ayatollah:

Yeah I know hes suspended which is why i was careful not to say our starting 11 against west ham.
Defensively I think Kev is fantastic but going forward he's not a player who is able to deliver a ball into the box and for that reason I hope he ends up as defensive cover but until we get someone in to replace him i think we will start something like this.

Its awful to see our two other strikers left out but i think we are more likely to see them if we are either chasing a game or desperate for points.
Unless they are to play in a wide position instead of Nooney who i think is a great impact player i'm gonna stand by this team unless we get more in...which we all know are needed.
