You remind me of my time in Saudi Arablia. Everyone calls them a backward country but what do you reckon to this.

For a none Saudi to work there the employer has to ensure that there is not a Saudi around qualified to do the job. Actually thats the easy bit to get around because there are not enough Saudis in that country wanting to work. Another argument.

Right once in the country you cannot leave it unless you get permission from your sponsor/employer. The reason behind this is to stop foreigners doing a bunk. You can apply for an exit visa but the employer is responsible if you own money to anyone. So you managed to screw someone and leave then the employers will have to pay.

Thats about it.....not bad way of doing things hey. Mind you chopping hands off for thieves is gory. I know I witnessed a beheading while there.
