I think the club should pull out of this Ince move

Tue Jul 09, 2013 1:51 pm

better players to spend £8 million on and if his head is turned elsewhere then why would any club want a player who's mind isn't 100%.

Reminds me of that Richard Keogh transfer and look where he is now.

Agreed angryman, the 'guvnuh' fucked it up with his gun-ho approach to haggling. Toms probably still on the train to Newcastle or something......... 'daaaaaad we nearly there yet?'....'Nearly son just keep still and keep your mouth shut until the medical , i'm the only guv'nuh on this train'

I personally think he's overpriced anyway. £8 million (almost a third of the transfer pot quoted) on a player un-tried at this level is too much of a risk in my opinion.

The same people that will be praising him when he signs and starts banging the goals in. No pleasing some people

Agreed. Ince had his chance. Much better out there for 1/4 of the price.
Over rated and over priced.
Should be a yes or no within 4 hours or say goodbye and thanks for coming down.

You are right. I am one of those who would love to be proven wrong. I hope I am.
But it is too much money for an unproven mid-championship player, who thinks he is world class.

We have had these before remember (but not at this cost).

The kids been home two days and one of them hes down here talking terms, how do you know hes not 100% or is it because out of the 48hours hes been back in the UK and not signed we should move on even though he spent one of them days down in cardiff, hes agreed personal terms its up to him now over the next day to come or not as for Richard Keogh since when did we even have a bid accepted for him, we didnt even match what they wanted :ayatollah:

He's a quality player, anyone can see that. He will cut in the premier league and I for one will be very happy if we sign him.

None of you have any idea what's going on behind the scenes though.

If people really think that footballers go on holiday and shut out the whole wide world for that period in time then they are very naive. Like any other individual who have representivates working for them talks would have been going on while he was 'out of the country' and probably involved with conference calls etc.

Re: I think the club should pull out of this Ince move

My initial feeling is exactly the same and have felt like this for over a week- pull out and move on - if he does decide not to come - it has potential repercussions to us as an unfancied club.
Dont think is is more than that -to him we are a championship club thats got into the prem - nothing personal against CCFC.

However

We have to remember where we are and where he wants to be - he is ambitious for a regular england spot so (he/daddypaul/agent) are looking at the whats best in his 'apprenticeship' -

If they feel its better for him to enjoy where he is - then so be it - more likely though - they want a bigger club and they may have concern that he could be in a club getting battered each week.
A couple of early strong signings may have really helped mark our ground - but this hasnt happened.

All we can do is stand up an put our chins out - if it aint meant to be then so be it.

What we cant do is drag these things too much and risk losing other potential players.

I bet Paul is heavily involved and he's wearing a black 'captains' armband over his shirt. and sending Tom to mark the door to the train while he phones Newcastle in a fake posh voice for talks

Every player coming into a higher level carries a risk and one with such a price tag carries even more of a risk.

So what would have been your solution in this world where FOOTBALL PLAYERS play for nothing other than money, f**k me we will have people claiming on here ince is a legend if he signs within the next 24hours thats how retarded some fans are, money talks f**k all else the same as 99% of people in a job even you brownie because if you could hold out for that extra £2 an hour from another firm per man/women before taking up all your labour force with somebody else knowing you would be short of men you would :ayatollah:

Its a massive decision for a young lad and I'm glad he is taking his time about it rather than just considering £££££.

Whatever decision he makes so be it, if its city, nice one. :malky:

A massive decision to Leave Blackpool for a Prem side? Leave it out  He seems to be making a last chance appeal to bigger clubs.

Ince is getting all this shit about having to make a life changing decision and people rip into him. What about cornelius? That's 8 million right there and he is untested at prem level but no one is chirping on about him. Just cause the deal hasn't be done in a flash or as quick as YOU want it done doesn't mean we pull out of the deal. We'd be fucked if you were in charge.

Paul Ince is basicly stood there with a 'Cardiff' gun to his sons head, He's got on the phone to a few managers and threatened to shoot Tom in the head with a Cardiff gun. Let's hope he forgot the safety switch.

Footballers like everyone else in every other profession want the best deal and in this modern age that can easily be sorted using modern technology.

Cornulius has played for Denmark and with all due respect I think Danish league may not be as good as the Premiership but is a better standard than the Championship
