' 4th JULY MEETING AT CCFC STADIUM '

Thu Jul 04, 2013 3:18 pm

Updated 8.30pm.

' Tonights Travel Group Meeting. '

Just so you all know 20 Travel Group Organisers turned up tonight.

' Cardiff City's first ever Premier League Game '
West Ham away City have agreed to a Ticket exchange, but that wont necessary happen to them when they come to us.
City want our first Premier League game to be trouble free.
Other games mentioned that will have travel restrictions were Swansea and Chelsea.

' Arrests '
Cardiff City had 27 fans arrested at away games and 1 arrested at home.
Only 5 banning orders were issued on Cardiff City fans.
Tomorrow morning Bristol City will have the 30th and 31st arrest for the Cardiff game and over 100 years of banning orders will be issued to the Bristol City fans, from min of 3 years ban to 10 years.

' SKY MONEY '

The club that finishes bottom in the Premier League get £64 million and every place above it is worth £1.2 mill extra.
City are guaranteed 10 live Premier games before March 2014.
Every live game after the 10 games that uve featured in, that club will receive £700,000 extra per game.

' CCFC STADIUM '

The giant Tv screens will be erected at each end of the stadium this pre season.

New Roof on Ninian Stand, from March 2014, it then wont have a roof till the end of the season.

The current Ninian Stand has 36 rows from front to back, when the expansion starts in October then the lower tier will increase by 7 rows, adding 1,315 seats and the top tier will house 3,700 seats.
So a total of 5,015 extra seats will be in before the Super Cup Final next July 2014. :ayatollah:
Gold Members will get first chance of these new extra seats. :ayatollah:

3,000 Gold Memberships sold so far and a handful of Silver Memberships sold.

Training ground planning is underway and 37 acres near Hensol has been allocated.

In recent years there has been a rule that if an away club takes more than 50% of their allocation they have to buy the whole lot, but this season clubs can take as much of their allocation and pay for what they have sold until 10 days before the said game, once that 10 days before a game is in effect then the home club can demand all unsold tickets back to their club to be sold to home fans or the away club has to purchase all of the remaining allocation, so the advice is to buy early.

Cardiff City have been made very welcome by all the other Premier League Clubs.

Posted this afternoon before the meeting took place.

There is a big travel meeting to discuss away games, travel, tickets, bubble games?, restrictions(hopefully none) and any other issues.

Half way through last season we were down to about 4 or 5 travel groups, apparently now weve got about 15
Funny how we have tripled, I kept saying last season is when the team needed big away support, lower divisions, not just the Premier League.

Looking forward to reading all the info on here later :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Stick to 4 or 5 travel groups (the ones who have always arranged travel) and reward them priority tickets (who have been loyal and worked hard behind the scenes)....where were the others in the past when we needed big away support.

People like Carl and Vince have worked very hard, arranging transport, tickets, liaising with the police, club and other stakeholders.

Sorry in my opinion, the club should tell them to bugger off; but cant see this happening.

Promotion = expected influx of support. At least we can take pride in the fact a lot of our allocations will be sold this season

You have the exact same opinion as myself, no need for anymore, they should join the existing ones that were there before the Premier League, if we were relegated they would be good like a shot.

In all fairness there has been at least 12 different lads been attending on behalf of different areas At least for a few years . not aware of any new ones

Ketty only lives a 100 yards away from me :malky:

Re: So tonight

I think everyone should be allowed to provide transport for away games if they wish.
whether they have never have in the past,or have done it for years or recently like Carls coaches and one or two others. If they are run sensible i think more the merrier

Re: So tonight

Thu Jul 04, 2013 4:11 pm

The more, the merrier, I say.

We get a bit overly protective of our club and its mechanics. We are not the parochial club we once were and if travel clubs are organising from areas previously not serviced, then well done to them.

There's room for different types of travel clubs. Some people don't like travelling on "alcohol allowed" buses and some want child friendly buses.

I wonder if we are going to see any posh travel clubs charging extortionate prices for prawn sandwiches and waitress service. :x

Re: So tonight

Thu Jul 04, 2013 4:38 pm

There is a few quid to be made running buses to away trips, is that why there are extra people doing it?

Re: So tonight

Thu Jul 04, 2013 4:49 pm

before I moved away my cousin and I were our own travel group.

Maybe some of you remember pushing my blue Fiat Punto halfway through Peterborough & up that bloody hill near Chesterfield

As long as its run properly then anyone should be able to organise trips, not a closed shop are we?

Re: So tonight

Thu Jul 04, 2013 5:12 pm

Very dissapointed at some of the comments on here.

I'm one of the unwelcome newcomers it would seem.

I've been running buses for a few years, but without joining the travel club, as I really haven't got time for all the meetings. I'm unable to attend tonight due to family commitments, but 2 of the lads who travel with me are there. We still liaised with the police, but did it low key.

We felt we needed to do it this year as I could see it being more difficult to organise with games being moved, ticket restictions etc..

None of the lads on our bus are 'glory hunters', the only new fans are a couple of kids, including my own,and I think only a couple of hundred did more aways than him last year ! Most have been going for 30 years.

We don't really want to travel with other groups, although sometimes we had to buddy up to make it work.

I expect most of the other 'so called' newcomers are in the same boat.

All fans are equal.

As for the guy who thinks it's about money, well in my case I can categorically say it's not. I had to put my hand in my pocket on many occasions last year and i even had lads who travel with me offering to chip in to cover the losses. As it happens, last year was priceless. Enjoying a season like that with my mates was well worth it.

Re: So tonight

Thu Jul 04, 2013 5:19 pm

The majority of the people who attend these meetings are the lads who run buses from all over the CCFC catchment area, the are not some sort of Masonic sect, Inner circle, they are just lads there to get all the info for up and coming away games (TRAVEL CLUB). As for keep it to 5/6 people running buses we had years ago then this Forum would have to board one of the 5/6 buses those 5/6 run as Carlos Coaches are the newest recruit I would have thought  . Well except Sadam who,s on his second meeting the Rotter, Cad ,Scoudrel , Pisshead

That is absolute bullshit. There should be no special select few. At the end of the day every single one of us are just fans.
We all should be treated equally with no more of this superfan bullshit.

I travel on Saddam's bus and to be fair to him we used to half half of Mikey Gayle's until the numbers escalated to require him having his own bus.

You are correct about the pisshead quote as well

Re: So tonight

Thu Jul 04, 2013 7:04 pm

Are we going to have a travel club price war with all the travel groups  FairPlay as Lawnmower said most of these groups travelled away anyway but just didn't go to the travel club meetings

I think 20 is to many should be kept to 4 or 5 groups :ayatollah:

What's the difference does it make if there's 5 groups or 20 groups?

Re: ' TONIGHTS MEETING AT CCFC STADIUM '

I got huge respect for everyone who run buses, do a great job. Carl/Gezza/Greg/dibs/sadam etc etc and to an extent I agree with annis. When I say 'certain extent' I mean, people over the years who have chosen to 'support' clubs such as united/Liverpool etc rather than their local team, they should continue to support them, not jump on the bandwagon and claim to be a Cardiff fan now because we are in the premier league. As for the running of buses, all reps sometimes have just one or two buses, I think most doubled that for burnley/hull away, was they're own buses carrying somewhat glory supporters?

New Roof on Ninian Stand, from March 2014, it then wont have a roof till the end of the season.
The current Ninian Stand has 36 rows from front to back, when the expansion starts in October then the lower tier will increase by 7 rows, adding 1315 seats and the top tier will house 3,700 seats.

Looking forward to reading all the info on here later :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

So that means we're going to get soaked if it pisses down? :?

Mixed feelings then. Happy for the continued progression of the club but I'd imagine there'd be some unhappy people when the weather isn't so nice. :|

That depends on West Ham sending them.

Its likely to be that u had to have gone to 3 away games last season, then if not sold out down to 2 away games last season.

Re: ' TONIGHTS MEETING AT CCFC STADIUM '

Thu Jul 04, 2013 9:08 pm

West ham tickets are likely to be on sale at least four weeks before the game ,the club are working on this now...I would think anyone who went to three away games last season should get one...just a guess mind...season ticket holders first then gold members
