Blackpool accept Cardiff City's bid for starlet Tom Ince
Cardiff City have made a “massive” offer for Blackpool's Tom Ince – which has been accepted by the Seasiders.
The Blackpool Gazette have today reported that manager Paul Ince has confirmed the bid (believed to be in excess of £8m) for his 21-year-old son, who scored 18 goals in the Championship last season and that his chairman Karl Oyston has accepted it.
The former Manchester United and Liverpool midfielder said: “ “Cardiff have come in massively for Thomas and the chairman has accepted their offer.”
“It’s a case of when he comes back, we’ll sit down and see what we want to do.
“He loves it here and has told me he’s in no rush to leave the club.”
Confirmed by Paul Ince whos in Portugal,he said he ll discuss it with tom when hes back on july 8 but wouldnt mind seeing tom have another year at blackpool.

Will discuss with Tom on July 8th yet Malky's given Tom an ultimatium?

Rather move on that waste time. Paul wanted him at Cardiff to improve his career but Liverpool have popped up again and he wont make his mind up. I mentioned this to Rhys before, Liverpool stand to make around 30% of the sell on fee that Blackpool receive.
The stalling is obviously because he wants to be elsewhere. Let him go. Seems like a time waster trying to use us to get a move to Liverpool now. Tell him no chance, bag Wanyama and move on and sign a better foreign winger.

Good on malky
ince is quality but why should we have to wait for him,its almost as if he thinks hes doing us the favour
If hes at all undecided about playing for a premiership side on the up,then let him stay at blackpool and get someone in whos desperate to make their mark with us.
Sun Jun 30, 2013 12:49 pm
If the bid has been accepted and ince agrees terms all that will happen is on July 8th he will tell blackpool his decision. I expect it to happen sooner though.

He has to say that but I blame his egotistical father...
Needs to stop being selfish and let the boy develop. Can't seem to remember Ince Snr taking anyone else's views into account when he was a player

If he doesn't sign for us I doubt he'll go elsewhere in the PL unless Blackpool drop the asking price. No one else in the PL will pay £8m for him. Malky knows this and only Ince will lose out if he doesn't take the step up now. Liverpool will only pay £6m for him and they get 30% of that back making the actual sum Blackpool would receive lower. Palace might go for him to replace Zaha but still cant see them paying £8m for him.

Palace paid 6 mil for Gayle, so don't see why they wouldn't spend on ince.

If he signs for us I believe he'd have a great chance of making the England world cup squad.
Sun Jun 30, 2013 12:59 pm
Tom ince is currently on holiday in marbella so the 24 hr time limit we have apparently given him will not be met.
Sun Jun 30, 2013 1:00 pm
I don't mind waiting if it means we sign a player who has a potentially large sell on value.

this is exactly the point & why im not bothered that we are spending 8.5m on danish tank 11.5 on wanyama or 8 on ince cos they are all young & if we this season we don't do so well and go down & these 3 have decent seasons we will atleast get our money back on these players of loose out a 1 mill or 2 on each of them which wudnt be that bad

When the hell is Tom getting back into training? I know he was at an U21 championship, but Blackpool's season kicks off on 3rd August.
Sun Jun 30, 2013 1:09 pm
Sounds like he doesnt want to come, fuk him if he's making malky wait
Sun Jun 30, 2013 1:09 pm
Ince snr has got to say that.If what weve offered him is good then he'll take it,it would be madness not to.He might get crocked playing in the championship next season and may never get the chance of a contract like this again especially if he's only on boys money at the moment.I read somewhere he was only on about 4-5k p/w.

hes dithering and we cant afford to have such a player in such a vital season for the club
f**k him off and bring in someone who wants to be here i say

Too right
Sun Jun 30, 2013 1:16 pm
WHAT !????? Tell him to f**k off then. C'mon Malky - this sounds like SHIT. Be on massive wages and play in the Prem, live in an amazing young vibrant City with team that will be pushing top 10 in a season - stupid kid. This sounds like he'll picking and chosing his games inbetween holidays in Dubi. I think he'll be trouble

Liverpools sell on clause is 35%, which means they can buy him back for 35% less than anyone else(obviously)
Liverpool have just signed two players who can play in ince's position. The also have courtinho, downing, suso and raheem sterling who can play in place of ince. It's sounds like his agent trying to drum up business..
I'd be amazed if liverpool put in a bid for ince, its obvious that that like all the other clubs in the prem, they don't think he's good enough or worth the money.
Sun Jun 30, 2013 1:19 pm
bid was only accepted yesterday so not sure if he ll come home early from Holiday.you d think he would if he wanted to sign

That last line sums up my thoughts perfectly.

Agree. We are rumoured to be interested in James Forrest at Celtic who to me seems to be a more accomplished player for about the same money.
Sun Jun 30, 2013 1:28 pm
This situation doesn't sit too well with me. For that kind of money im wondering if its better to move on. If the offer has been accepted, why aren't we speaking to him now? It's very odd

Thanks for clearing that up on the actual exact percentage.
I did message Rhys with it a while back before the papers were reporting the sell on fee.
Liverpool are getting Atsu for around £3m and we're paying £8m for Ince. I'd rather we looked elsewhere now. For £8m Paul should be walking Tom to Cardiff himself the cheeky sod.

Sorry lads but now you are making it up.I seem to remember some people saying the same thing about the Kimbo deal last year because it took so long.
Sun Jun 30, 2013 1:33 pm
As much as i enjoy reading all the rumours and gossip nowaday.. none of us know whats going on really. For all we know Malky is having lunch with another target as we speak and is tying the deal up. If Tom Ince is hedging his bets and 'seeing whats out there' then hes not a Malky type player anyway. Chill peeps, lets jus wait and see

You'd think with the invention of Skype and the telephone and the situation with verbal agreements in the UK that they could easily sort it out even if he is on holiday. No different to how other businesses get things done in a lot of cases. Making us wait until then is just a piss take of the highest order.
Tom Ince isn't as great as Paul likes to think and if he was then he wouldn't have been anywhere near facing the chop in his first stint at Liverpool. If we ignored Ince and got Sterling on loan thats better business in my book. Sterling is faster, has more PL experience and would be eager to prove himself to Rodgers to avoid getting cut out of his plans at the hands of foreign talent.

See we dont even know if what paul ince said is true. FOR ALL WE KNOW. the deal is almost done and Cardiff City have said if any other clubs come sniffing, any gazumping and we walk. so all this culd be a smokescreen. Cornelius and Mutch!!! we now know that we actually know f**k all. what will be will be
