If our bid of £2m has been accepted officially (in writing) then they can not demand more.

If not then the o.p has as much chance as being right as you have.

It may have been verbally agreed, and these people DO go back on these agreements, we've had it happen to us more times than I care to remember.

Who knows whether it's £2m, £2,2m or £2.5m - one might include VAT, one might include agents fees.. add-ons etc..

It's not as simple as you seem to think - however I doubt you have experience of buying anything more than a packet of sweets

im not saying its simple. I think its a ridiculous notion that you have bid 20% more than bids already accepted.

Think hes a bit hit or miss. Showed a lot of promise 18 months ago but hasn't lived up to it YET.

Could be worth a gamble at £2.5M though.
