Swansea and Norwich have already agreed a fee of £2.2m with Brum.

Actually the Jacks and norwich have agreed a fee of £2m, we are supposed to have bid £2.5m ;)

Re: Nathan Redmond

Hasn't he openly said he wants to play for Everton? If so I wouldn't touch him.

Someone told you that although other clubs are widely known to have had a £2m bid accepted.... you bid £2.5m just for the hell of it?

Showing intent, Birmingham now will want him to go to us as they get another £500k

Brum have no say in where he goes, their part is done.

Re: Nathan Redmond

Not if they now say they have had a better offer and that is the one they will accept then it is up to Redmond, unless other teams up their bid

Its very funny that when city fan's say something its bollocks but when you say something its un reputable?
Used to be a defunct magician on here with simular traits! Plus ( link) another trait, only got to look at other posts to day and see What an argumentative tw*t you are!

not argumentative at all Mr Allen.

If Birmingham have accepted offers of £2m while the player is discussing terms with the clubs I think its safe to say you haven't gone and bid £2.5m

the bid is legally accepted, it is now down to the player and solely the player.

I've watched your work on here and you get by on arguments where you COULD be right.

Here you have had a mare. Legally accepted. :D

So you never had a bid accepted for Donnelly before having to raise it when Everton came in?

Re: Nathan Redmond

Sat Jun 29, 2013 9:30 am

Transfers are a three way contractual agreement. when a club puts an official written bid for a player it is rejected, accepted or waited on. if its waited on then there is the chance of someone bidding more in which you then tell the other club to up the bid. if it is accepted, then it is accepted contractually and the transfer fee is sealed between the two parties, depending on the buying club agreeing a contractual bond with the third party - the player, and the deal is done. If our bid of £2m has been accepted officially (in writing) then they can not demand more.

sorry.

Have you seen written evidence that this bid has been accepted - in writing ?

If not then the o.p has as much chance as being right as you have.

It may have been verbally agreed, and these people DO go back on these agreements, we've had it happen to us more times than I care to remember.

Who knows whether it's £2m, £2,2m or £2.5m - one might include VAT, one might include agents fees.. add-ons etc..

It's not as simple as you seem to think - however I doubt you have experience of buying anything more than a packet of sweets

By the way I've no idea where he's going and although I'd be happy to see him come here, I'd far far rather Ince. Redmond seems a good player , but inconsistent from reports I've heard. Likely to go to Everton if they are in for him anyway.

im not saying its simple. I think its a ridiculous notion that you have bid 20% more than bids already accepted.

Re: Nathan Redmond

Don't mind on this one.

Think hes a bit hit or miss. Showed a lot of promise 18 months ago but hasn't lived up to it YET.

Could be worth a gamble at £2.5M though.

Re: Nathan Redmond

If they have already accepted bid's from Swansea and Norwich, Why could they not accept one from us?

Because if Swansea made the first bid for 2mil and it was accepted by your way of thinking how could Norwich have a 2mil bid accepted as well?
