Does Big Spending = Increased Pressure on Malky?

We have just spent £8.5m on our first signing. This surely sends a message that we are gonna be spending big. If the rumours of Ince and Wanyama come true then we are looking at spending over the £25m on just 3 players.

With all this money potentially being spent I don't think that failure is an option.

Spending or not spending will put the same pressure on him in his first season in the prem.
Given the choice, he is bound to take the spending option.

Don't forget he had a bit of money left over from the January window, he was urged to spend loads but only brought in Campbell and Barnett

he had players on his radar players he thinks will do the job. by default these are usually grafters and players who will sweat blood so their clubs will want top dollar for them. of course failure isnt an option its a results driven job. if he'd failed to get us
promoted he may well be gone by now

Malky will put enough pressure on himself, but I would like the fans to think carefully before calling for Malky's head this season, unless you're happy to have someone like Shearer in charge. Tan's limited knowledge of football means he's unpredictable which is very worrying.

Thats what has been said on the FC Copenhagen site 65million in their coin is 7.5mill in ours. A million difference is alot so people need to get it right

Campbell is becoming more of a bargain - when we spend this kind of money,on a player who most if truth be told have not heard of before.

As far as Malky is concerned Tan is doing everything right. he leaves him to manage.

My mate a lifelong arsenal fan is tipping US for top TEN...I ain't quite that giddy but dont see a lot of difference in quality or points total for a 12th or 17th place..

The pressure will be massive, not just because of the spending but because Vincent Tan will demand success and he does not do or believe in failure.

Missing the point, unless of course you are saying because you are predicting 12th if Malky is falling short of 12th you are going to put pressure on him?

I predict we will finish 15th or 16th but I dont expect it and will be delighted to finish 17th.

Guess so but we are in the premier league now so the pressure is massive anyway,if you go a few games without a win the media put the pressure on with their headlines so i imagine if we have a spell it'll be down to tan,one thing for sure is seeing as we are up there now he wont want us to come down,that wont help malky but i think we'll be okay, I think we can do enough to stay up.

i really dont think so.

We have people on here who were having a go when we were top of the league last season.

Even if we are just above/just below the relegation zone in dec/Jan i still think there will be those who will be calling for his head.
