what happens if we spend big? (answer) if we spend big on quality players we will have every chance of securing our premiership status for next season. This will guarantee us a further 80 million in tb money. If we fail to buy the necessary players to keep us in the division we could go another 4 - 5 years struggling to return to the top flight. So therefore I feel it is right for city to be aggressive in the transfer market. Speculate to accumulate is the way forward and by keeping our premiership status our current crop of championship winning players will see their values sore.

Although these sound like brilliant signings, the amount of money we seem to be willing to spend does concern me slightly!

I look forward to having some great banter with my fellow bluebirds. a little bit about me, I've been supporting the city since the age of 5 and now i'm approaching my 49th birthday, like many of you old enough to remember we have been through some turbulent times watching out beloved club. I have been great friends with Annis for the past 20 years travelling the length and breadth of the country, I have been lucky enough to watch this club as a fan on the terrace, a seat in the directors box for a season and following and reporting on the club with my great friend Terry Phillips from the Echo, so I have seen pretty much all aspects of following this club. (and I can tell you now it's been hard) The past 12 years have been an absolute roller coaster ride watching this club progress to finally making our dreams come true, we all have our views on the re-brand and this is something that 100% of fans will never agree on. However, whether you're blue or red one thing we all have in common is the undeniable love we have for our club and fellow supporters. We are facing possibly the hardest season in the clubs history and now as fans we need to play our part in supporting the boys and making some noise together (united we stand, united we fall) so lets take up the challenge my name is Lee Beames, and I look forward to speaking to you all regularly.

Parachute payments are to help with the carry over fees from the prem as every player gets their wage increased by the sheer fact they are now prem players, you will still be making a heavy loss with parachute payments. its to help clubs not going bust... not to help them get promoted again. the more you spend the less impact the parachute payments will have.

Well Swansea could well go down this season and indeed are my tip to do so parachute payments should stop you going bust AGAIN.

why would we need parachute payments to stop us going bust?![]()
we spend 55% of income on wages with a relegation clause written into every players contract with a minimum release clause activated and a pay cut.
