Very clever by Ashley. He can't afford to get rid of Pardew but he can make Pardew's life at the club very difficult and force Pardew to resign... I say it's clever by Ashley... it was f*cking stupid of him to offer Pardew such a long contract!

Comparing how Newcastle are run to how Tan runs us. Mike Ashley has made gaff, after gaff on Tyneside. Changed the name of their historical stadium, would compare to someone trying to change the name of Ninian park when we still played there. On a par with a colour change IMO.

Colour aside you cannot deny Tan has done good things for this club.

Its a very complex situation.

Stadium name changes are not on a par with shirt changes, nowhere near. :?

In your opinion. If someone tried to change the name Ninian Park to Visit Malaysia Stadium that would have caused as much deteste as the red shirts. In my opinion.

By the way I am not sticking up for the red here, far from it, I f8cking hate it and those red / black flags they wave before kick-off, that will get my back up in the new season I know that for sure.

Just saying theres some right jokers out there in charge of football clubs, The Venkys and Mike Ashley to name two.

Rebrand aside I really do think Tan has been the perfect owner thus far.

We changed ground. so a name change was always going to happen. i loved Ninian pk like a second home but City was never going to move forward in that Grand Old Lady it was inevitable. Arsenal changed they name, Boro, Hull, Leicester, Derby, Bolton, Bradford, Scum, Brighton the list is endless you get nothing in this life without giving something up

Im not disputing that but most with a ground name change have moved to NEW grounds.

St.James Park or Sports Direct Arena whatever you want to call it is an historical ground.

Can you imagine Liverpool fans being happy changing Anfield to Fenway Sports Bowl?

Agree with a lot of that but you can't put the rebrand aside, It's there ALL the time, this is why i can not return to CCS until we're blue, However i now agree with Annis when i he encourages the stay-away blues to return and wear blue. Now we're in the prem boycotting on an individual basis will just mean your seat is taken by a red scarf waving plastic.

We have moved to a new ground? im not happy that it not called Ninian park either but as far as the shit has hit the fan over the last year with the beer badge and red the ground name is the least of our worys. in context. if we'd stayed at NP and someone come in spent £30m redeveloping it they wuld have renamed it anyways. im not arguin with u feller. i miss NP too :)

Youve lost me mate. I know weve moved to a new ground and im not complaining about the CCS not being called Ninian Park. I know it was time to move on :?:

I am saying if Tan had bought us when we were at Ninian Park and tried to change the name, like Mike Ashley has done at Newcastle and their historic ground, then people would have played f*ck, the same way they are playing f*ck about the colour change.

He also claimed he signed Tim Krul when souness signed him 12 months prior to Kinnear being at Newcastle.

Claimed he signed James Perch who did infact sign 12 months after Kinnear left.

Asked if Newcastle fans wanted Lambeze(sic) back when he is managing director and has never left the club.
