" Bloody hell you cant win with some of you lot/Bluebirds Unite have only just formed. "

BlueBirds Unite
link
https://www.facebook.com/groups/BLUEBIRDSUNITE/?fref=ts :ayatollah:

There were over 600 fans who turned up on a Tuesday night in a pub to show their Support for Bluebirds Unite, they had 300 for their first meeting 2 weeks ago.
In 10 days approx 5,500 sign a petition and in a month 2,400 aprox join the group and remember not everyone looks on this forum and fb. This group is growing rapidly and has an excellent Spokesperson/leader in Sian Branson who I am fully behind. They have already putting together a committee of about 20 fans who can give a lot of time and can help organise things for Bluebirds Unite.THey are now getting plenty of publicity.

Mistakes will be made along the way, but they will be corrected. The aim of the group is to keep our identity alive and keep the Club aware that We want it back, we have no intentions of hurting our club. The Group stands for one thing only restoring Cardiff City's identity/Colour and reminding everyone about it and at the same time it is making a lot of fans proud again who are involved in it and that includes myself.

No Bluebirds Unite will not be joining the Trust, the Trust is welcome to Support Bluebirds Unite and its aims. Bluebirds Unite welcomes all City fans who want our Identity back and are willing to show that by wearing the Blue at home and away games and not endorsing the Red by buying it and wearing it. There will be no belittling of other fans, all we want is Cardiff City to be Blue again and our fans to wear it with Pride.

Yes a march will be organised and I will anticipate that 3,000- 4,000 will join it,a big high profile game will be chosen, so the World will see it on TV. I would like more, but who knows.
Why dont you all give this group a chance, they have harmed no one, they just believe like myself that Cardiff City should be BLUE. Thats All I have ever known and that to me is Our Identity. BLUEBIRDS.

I cant be bothered having arguments/debates about it, your either with us or not, My stance has never changed, I am BLUE end Off and I want my club have to its True Identity returned, the one I have only ever known. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

finally a group we can get behind . been waiting to see there true colours regarding the route they will take and it looks the right one to me :ayatollah:

one point though i dont think a march will do any good and will be pretty unnoticed by tan . A boycott of a big friendly game coming up and instead playing a game over sloper park with thousands watching it in blue would make a much bigger statement ! imagine a game across the road attracting more fans than the actual match would realy make tan take notice imo

What reason would Tan have to return to blue?

Are all the fans who signed the petition gonna stop attending the games so that tan sees the financial impact? oh wait, 20,000+ fans have already handed over their money for next season. Premiership football is more important than the colour for a lot of fans.

I like many would prefer Blue if I had a choice but the fact is that we are in Red and unless fans are going to boycott the matches or refuse to purchase a shirt then we will remain Red. Tan has no reason to change and is not under pressure too.

The privilege of living in a democratic society, is people can have their own views.
We don't have to accept and shut up, we will continue to keep campaigning as for many of us there is simply no choice.

If people wish to be part of what we are doing - great :) if not then that is fine too.

When people are literally buzzing, like last night and feeling proud of our history and identity, actually thanking us for what we are doing.... Then that is enough of a reason for us to believe we are doing the right thing.

We are Cardiff City Bluebirds - Anything else to us just doesn’t sit right.

Blooooooooobirds !

Have you thought about getting that many and not entering the stadium for one game and all sitting in the carpark?

Re: ' Bloody hell you cant win with some of you lot. '

Thank you Annis - I was extremely proud to call myself a Bluebird last night.

We are trying our very hardest to get this right, we understand we will never get everybody to agree, but we will never agree with the rebrand so that’s fine ;)

Back it or respect it. Those are the two options. No need for people criticising it. :ayatollah:

Stupid idea and won't happen, you've just posted a thread if I'm correct saying who we're playing so which stance would you be on? No chance. Fans will go to the friendly because it's their club, depends on the stature, if it's Betis then I expect about 6k-8k there.

Also another thing, Bluebirds Unite say they're all welcome yet I read posts like
"Anyone wearing Franchise FC stuff will be banned from the pub" etc, f*cking terrible, sorry for wearing different clothes, absolute faggots

Good idea

We really are very keen to get the point across the right way and that means taking all members views on board - then using the comitee to decide what courses of action Bluebirds Unite will take.

Can I ask everybody to remember that not every individual will agree or necassarily say or do the right thing, but we will try our best to mediate and make sure that the voice of Bluebirds Unite is heard as a collective force rather than 1 indivuals take. :malky:

Well written Annis

a great cockle warming thing has happened with Bluebirds Unite that is very positive.
This has restored faith and dignity to a lot of fans but will also bring out abuse by others.
The keyboard freaks will scorn into their pot noodles.

CCFC B U will have knockers:-
they will be called fools
They will be called dinosaurs
They will even be called devisive (by the blinded)

What those people in Bluebirds Unite should be called is....

Family

Respect the notion and effort but it will fail. Shirts will only change when Tan sells the club on. Put all that effort behind the team for next year. We will need it. Then unite and lobby any new owner or investor.

Re: ' Bloody hell you cant win with some of you lot. '

Wed Jun 12, 2013 1:27 pm

I will confirm for anybody who may misunderstand - This group is not for people who support the rebrand. Ask yourself what your stance is and you should know if this group is for you :) We want our History -Pride and Identity Restored, We should be celebrating all of that not forgetting it.
We welcome all new members who share our feelings.
To turn up in a red shirt full of people against exactly that is trouble making in my opinion and with families present that is not acceptable.

So your dividing the fans when every single one of them should be united in supporting the club as they start their most difficult challenge in 51 years. We are surely at the start of some history being made. Lets hope in 20 years when you look back at the up coming season, you can all say you did your best in helping the club to reach its full potential.

Yes i did post about pre-season games
I am a cardiff city fan through thick and thin and will allways support my team . BUT i also really feel very strongly about us keeping our identity . One match in pre season which will not effect the league campaign and also send a huge statement to the owner. I am willing to sacrifice one friendly for the chance of getting the point across that this rebrand is not right !
It could be at the exact same time as the main game or before everybody wearing blue and singing outside would be a huge statement imo he would here every word sang .
It could also be used as a fundraiser for bluebirds unites charity , if everybody put there £10 or whatever it would cost into the charity and not to tan for one game he would really notice it !
Maybe auction off places in the teams playing , make it a family day .
Why is it a stupid idea ?
Different ideas stand out and im sure it would get a lot more publicity than a march .

I like this group, much better than the KCB group last year.

I think the march should be against Swansea. It'll be painful seeing us playing against them in any other colour than blue. Plus, you don't get any more high profile than that?

How you knew it. The current club is now professionally run and has a chance to reach its full potential. Not had the chance to say that for a while.

Not attending the games in my opinion will have no impact as the seats will just be taken by someone else. I believe I am much better off going to games in BLUE and not buying any official mechandise or anything else from the stadium.

Also someone people seem to believe that by wearing BLUE we can't get behind the team, unsure how they've arrived at this idea

Not only choose them wisely but fight them at the right time.

Most people probably would prefer to see Cardiff wearing Blue, but a hell of a lot more prefer to know, who we're are signing or playing first. Still rejoicing in winning the championship and getting excited about playing premiership football. If things were not going so well that 600 who attended the meeting could have been 6000 or more. Apathy rules.

Every home game bu should meet in the car park outside the main entrance behind a big banner just before kickoff.would get good media coverage I'm sure.

Annis I'm not quite sure who your response is aimed at but the majority of people who have responded on this thread have legitimate concerns about the future of bluebirds unite (especially if they are thinking of getting involved with such a group.)

Some of us believe that vincent tan has a lot to offer the club and believe that he is not all bad like some would push us to believe. I remember coming on this board one summer when risdale was at the helm and being told we were days away from liquidation. I remember that guy from motherwell coming on sky sports caning us saying we owed them money. Our club was an absolute mess. Now the club is being run better than ever. Only a few weeks ago dave jones was about to come out grizzling to the press but the club immediately resolved the situation and he went away saying how professionally the matter was dealt with.
we have academy 2 status, new training facilities about to be announced, Serious negotiations with langston, we are attracting top quality players, we have a worldwide scouting network and a WAITING LIST FOR SEASON TICKETS. I remember a time when I didnt have to wait to get in when I arrived at the turnstile at five to three!

Look there are things that could be improved and I think public relations with our own fanbase should be top of the agenda. We have been arguing with each other for over a year whether tan has a plan which is the reason for turning red, I truly believe he would be better off saying whether he has or whether he just thinks it's lucky.

I do think he was wrong changing the colour and alienating some fans and I think it was even worse the way the whole thing was handled.

However I do have reservations about bluebirds unite. I may be completely wrong and they may prove me wrong but I have heard so much about gwyn and the bullies on both messageboards yet I have witnessed far more bullying and intimidation on these messageboards during the last year.

my concern is that if bluebirds unite continues to multiply then soon there will be an element calling those who do choose to wear red 'wankers' 'sell outs' etc and it will be anarchy again.

personally I would admire a group who would campaign for us to return to blue without alienating our owner or fellow cardiff fans but I do worry that this will never be the case.
