Even Cardiff Bus is pulling its services to the Airport!!!

Whoever thought that spending £52 million on that Airport and millions more to help the cashflow was a good idea then it doesn't seem Cardiff Bus agrees with you. And now Carwyn Jones is warning people of a smaller budget!!!! The budget would be bigger if he didn't buy the bloody thing in the first place!!!!

The place should be knocked down and they should look at the Sevenside Airport which they paid thousands of pounds for it to be looked at just weeks before they brought the Airport!!!

To be fair I didn't even know Cardiff bus went to the airport. You can get there much much easier then jumping on buses.

Only by car as the 'Cardiff Airport Train Station' is nowhere near the Airport and you have to jump onto a minibus when it finally turns up. The Bus is the most popular mode of transport to get to the Airport for many who live in Cardiff and don't want to pay for Airport Parking.

Also maybe you dont realise just how many businesses there are around the Airport which people use that bus for. For example Alpha Flight Services factory who sort out the inflight meals and other companies whos workers use that bus.

and also dont forget the many students who study for their collegue courses there

Always said we don't need an international airport in Cardiff, it's not far to Bristol for god sake. Expand Bristol, make it one of the biggest in the country and we will be sorted. No need to waste millions on Cardiff airport, most people I know fly from Bristol anyway.

The problem with Bristol is that the runway can't expand so the larger aircraft can't land on it. Also getting there isn't the best either.

This is by far the best solution. Close both airports and build one huge one right on the M4 near Caldicot!!

I used to supply Alpha Flight Services with production staff for a couple of years and we could only supply younger students for the jobs because it was shit work to be honest. Each shift on them had around 10 people on and I say at least 8/9 out of the 10 for each shift would catch that bus every day. Unfortunately I think the service is being pulled mainly because the buses outside of the peak period (times when people would start and finish work) they were filled by passengers but due to the lack of that custom then everyone else who uses the service suffers.

Of course I am but a Government buying an Airport isn't a free market surely!!!!

The service isn't profitable because the Airport isn't profitable and needs to be rebuilt somewhere else hense why I'm all for the Sevenside Airport rather than millions of our taxes being put into a failing airport in the middle of no-where
