Although there is no breaking news on a potential deal to conclude the loan notes, I can tell you that Sam Hammam flew into London last week to take part in three days of meetings and flew back to Lebanon last Thursday.
Yesterday Sam was back in London for more meetings and will head back to Lebanon tomorrow.
There are several ways being discussed of coming to a settlement of the loan notes but this will not happen overnight, even with the best intentions and good will from both sides there is plenty to discuss and finalise and even once one deal is verbally agreed, it has to then go to the lawyers to draw up the contracts, which will be examined closely by both sides before any contract would be signed off by both sides and become a legally binding contract.
So hypothetically, even if a deal was struck in principal this evening it would probably take a minimum of six weeks before a contract was signed and that would be at best.
So the positive is, that both sides are communicating and discussing how to take this forward and bring an end that both sides are happy with and for the good of Cardiff City Football Club but for those who may be interested in such matters should remain patient and understand that this could take several months to finally conclude.
I suppose after so many years another couple of months won't be so much of an issue.
My personal point of view on the subject is that I believe a deal will be agreed in principal ahead of the Premier League kick off and then it will be down to the lawyers to draw up the contract.

I totally disagree, the sooner they settle the debt, the quicker that Tan who has made a promise will turn his debt to equity and finally our club would then be Debt Free.
but at least they are in talks and if we keep the pressure on him with the blue it will force him into sorting the debt to try and prove going red was a good deal in my opinon

I agree with you on that Annis. I think we all do. However, the updates and us in the know is not going to speed up the process. When the club announce it i'll be over the moon. Until then nothing in terms of my mood will change. You know well enough yourself, business is business and positive things can turn bad overnight.

That will still take a while after he has settled with langston though wont it? im sure i read on here before someone say turning debt to equity can take a few months. not sure who it was thoughbut at least they are in talks and if we keep the pressure on him with the blue it will force him into sorting the debt to try and prove going red was a good deal in my opinon

I agree with that but if Carl's latest updates are 'its positive', 'its positive' and then all of a sudden 'shits gone bad' he's going to get it right in the neck big time Annis. Im not having a go, Carl is a grown arse man and can do what he likes but fans will take the pee if it goes that way. There is unfortunately a bunch who watch Carl's every move to try and abuse him on. If Carl stays silent then the club come out and say something it doesn't look bad on him. If Carl says its going positive and then shit hits the fan, as can happen in a cut throat business world, then the vultures will be out.Aramore wrote:Annis it's Barnett, he picks the opposite side of what everyone else is saying just to cause arguments...
Hows the pursuit for an Anfield season ticket coming along Liverpool's fan of the year?

Didn't realise you'd got to the point where you have to start parotting Polo to get your bites. At least you used to be original.
