A new forum about team affairs only

Wed Jun 05, 2013 9:47 pm

I believe is being mooted by the board hierarchy for a trial. A separate forum specifically for the team, transfer gossip and news, with absolutely none of the dreaded R words allowed. A premier league forum without the politics

Thoughts?

Football - Transfers, Tactics, etc.
Rebrand - Discussion for rebrand
Off Topic - News/Politics/Music/Games/etc.

Personally i dont want that, and i hope Annis doesn't either, because i think the rebrand would be too easy for people to ignore the issue then and i feel that it's far too important an issue to ignore. I think it needs to be constantly in people's faces for it to remain talked about (that includes the people who are pro-red because their opposing views make it an issue) otherwise the work that Bluebirds Unite and people are doing will be a lot more difficult i feel.

Just my opinion though. :ayatollah:

Absolutely.

I want blue back but im fed up to the back teeth of the rebrand taking over most threads now.

I text Nanny Macphail early just to talk football and look forward to the new season and we both agreed the forum is starting to depress.

All the best forums on the net are divided into sections. When the sections are there they get populated with info that is related. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Polo, im guilty of it myself as you know but its exactly that reason I went on a rant earlier. We should just talk football now and let BU get on with what they got to get on with. Roll on the fixtures. :malky:

This is EXACTLY why we need seperate forums Lake.

I'm not being flippant here, but having a separate forum for just football isn't going to make people forget about the rebrand or returning to blue.

I had the same conversation earlier with a once regular poster here who doesn't log in much nowadays as all he wants to do is talk about Cardiff City. It has been turning into the other board lately where 95% of threads are ruined by the R word

About time.

Forum is getting clogged up by the 'R' posts, particularly by a few users who post several very short posts about the same topic in a short period of time day after day.

As i say, it's just my opinion, which is that it would be a lot less in people's faces and i think that would be a bad thing, in fact i think the pro-reds who have accepted it are the ones who need to be constantly reminded/annoyed/whatever the word is by it and they're the exact people that would obviously ignore that section.

If you don't agree then fair enough, i just personally hope the forum doesnt get split into sections. :ayatollah:

The more people moan the more annoying it is and the more arguments occur. Then because of those arguments a greater divide takes place between our fans and they then stick their head in the sand in a stubborn fashion and it just ends up with the usual 'you're a sellout' rhetoric or 'just get over it'. Theres wrong coming from both sides. BU and those who actively want the tradition and identity of the club would be far better doing so in peace and showing its a structured organisation. All these arguments are counter productive to Bluebird Unites aims imo, a united fan base. The clue is in the name.

In honour of our loyal manager, Sir Malcolm Mackay aka Braveheart, who turned down Everton to stay with us, the capital side of Wales. Its nice to see some loyalty in South Wales for once imo.

As if to prove a point this thread has turned into a R thread. Amazing that so many people want to talk about not talking about the R :?
