How a genuine fan of Cardiff city can sit at a game shouting, BLUEBIRDS and BLUE ARMY, whilst dressed in RED is beyond me. It makes my stomach turn, We as a club are being torn apart. DON"T ACCEPT IT.---------- CCFC :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

A genuine Cardiff City Supporter.... Supporting his/her team no matter what... Putting aside his/her personal feeling and hurts to Support the team.

And this makes your stomach turn?

I would never wear red.. I find it difficult to watch my city play in red..

But I would never abuse someone who wears red to show their support for the team we are both there to watch.

Its these sort of comments/posts that segregate and divide our fans. We may all have different opinions on the rebrand but all share one common thing - Supporting Cardiff City. Let people do what they feel is right for them and dont let it ruin the experience for yourself.

So if you wear red your not allowed to shout Bluebirds without looking stupid ? What if I decide to wear a green t-shirt to a Cardiff match, can I shout Bluebirds then or is the word 'Bluebirds' only exclusive to people wearing blue ?

People can choose to support the club in any colour they decide and that doesnt make them any less nor any more of a fan than any other individual. Just because you wear a red top doesnt mean your anti Bluebirds nor does it mean you cant shout Bluebirds or any other blue/cardiff related chant.

In my opinion, making an issue out of this makes you look stupid.

I was talking more about the "blue" chants. Wearing a red home shirt is supporting the rebrand, it doesn't make sense to shout "blue army" or "we'll always be blue" as fans only chant that to show that we want blue. It just makes you look like a hypocrite. Aways shirts are completely irrelevant.

When you bought your blue away top you became one of Tans customers. When you sit in the stadium you are one of Tans customers. Therefore you are supporting the rebrand as one of his customers. Stop taking this holier than thou 'im better than those who wear red' shit because it wont wash. You're supporting it as much as any other person who goes to the stadium and any other person who has bought a shirt.

You're not getting it. You can't "financially" support the rebrand, you can only financially support the club. The only way you can "support" the rebrand is by wearing the red merchandise.

Am I "allowed" in your form of devoutness to shout bluebirds in my white away top from a few seasons ago ?

I don't get the logic, I have all three shirts from the 11/12 season, why does it matter whatever top I wear determine how much of a fan I am? So If I wear my blue/black shirt, it's okay but if I wear my red one I'm a plastic and what not and can't sing Bluebirds/Blue Army, the Blues are going up.?

I am a true city fan and have been since 1964, I don't support the rebrand, I will be supporting the city until I die and I will always be a bluebird and shout bluebirds until I am in that box. :ayatollah:

I would never do it but it depends if they agree with the re-brand or not. If they do then I might not agree with their view but I can see why they do it.

As someone who wants to see us play in blue again it is something that does totally deflate me mind.

I think a lot of people like to make a point of it so they feel they are higher placed in the hierarchy and to also give off the perception that they are the best/most loyal fan.

@JonCCFC

You are one of the most vocal anti re-rand posters on the forum and respect to you for that but is the poster further up correct in saying you have bought one of Tan's re-branded city tops? Rebrand, meaning the swap of home and away colours and the new badge.

He's bought the blue away top with the new badge. Apparently not supporting the rebrand even though the badge is part of Tan's rebrand.

It does make me laugh when I see fans wearing red shirts singing "We will always be blue", that is rather ridiculous.

Fans can wear what they like ,I don't like the red but wouldn't abuse anyone wearing it at the end of the day they are still supporting Cardiff and can still chant bluebirds as that's what we call ourselves.

Exactly, if you're against the rebrand, wearing any red top is ridiculous to say the least in my opinion!

The latest City top I wear is the blue home 2010/2011 shirt when Bellamy first came to us as Sbobet was the sponsor. I won't even wear the 2011/2012 blue shirt with Malaysia on as I feel wearing anything with the Malaysia sponsor on is supporting the rebrand, just like I think buying this seasons blue away shirt with the horrendous badge is still supporting the rebrand. Quite sad how I think like that but that's what VT has done to me unfortunately. :(

The only "rebrand top" is the red home shirt in my eyes. Badges change at all clubs from time to time. We've had many.

Re: It makes my stomach turn,---- TRUE BLUEBIRD FAN

1. We still have a bluebird on the badge.

2. It's entirely possible to support the team wearing red but also want to return to blue.

3. Preference of colour means NOTHING when it comes down to who loves the City more. I'd say being there in the hard times, supporting no matter what is more important and fans who are anti rebrand or rebrand accepting both have those kind of fans on their side.

4. The blue campaign needs to nip these type of comments in the bud as it wrecks their credibility and support in the eyes of other City fans.
