After the outcry today, I fully expect the club to tweak it, especially the shorts.

You've already tweaked them - they look better

This kit will be seen all over the Globe and it's shoddy, amateur appearance reflects poorly on the club. Mr Tan if you want a red kit so be it but give us a red kit we can be proud of. Every team we play against this season, their supporters will take the piss out of the kit. Your judgement Mr Tan on accepting this kit will be questioned by fans, media and businessmen both in the UK and Asia. Embarrassing for all concerned, including you Mr Tan.

They need to change something, I wouldn't want to see our team run out looking like what we have seen today.

Absolutely true. Last years kit sold like hot cakes and I fully expect the same this year. If there was ever going to be a boycott then it would have been last year when the shock of the rebrand really hit home.
VT won't be swayed by a few moans on message boards that's for sure so we simply have to wise up and realise that the red home kit has nothing to do with us (South Wales based supporters) and is absolutely aimed at the Far Eastern market.
What I am more concerned about is getting a traditional blue away kit.

Tony, I may be mistaken but I think everyone knew or realised that the kit was going to be red, it just how poor the kit is that has wound people up more.
Don't get me wrong there would still be those who will complain regardless but tbf this kit is shocking.

carlccfc wrote:Cardiff City are facing a backlash over their new all-red kit for their Barclay’s Premier League debut season.
The two-tone strip, with shorts a darker shade than the shirt, sparked strong reaction from supporters.
But describing the kit – made by manufacturer Puma – the club described the new look as “unique, classic and stylish.”
In its statement accompanying the launch, the club said the new kit would make it “stand out” in the Premier League.
It said: “The club decided to maximise on the Puma King design and adopt a two-tone red home kit this season, helping us stand out in the Premier League crowd.
“The two Puma King stripes reflect the fans loyalty to the club, which is appreciated by all. We hope you all enjoy the results and look forward to seeing you all wearing your new shirt – with quite a few optional sleeve badges we think – as the season gets under way.”
But Carl Curtis, who runs a supporters’ website, described the strip as “hideous” and said: “The only redeeming feature is the Premier League badge on the arm.
“Now that does look classy.”
However, Mansell Lewis, from Maesteg, a former RAF serviceman preparing for a 75th season as a Bluebirds fan, said: “I’ll be cheering Malky Mackay’s team on again next season – and I’ll be wearing the red kit.”
Cardiff wore black shorts last season, but have now switched to an all-red kit.
The badge remains unchanged with a small bluebird below a dragon.
But the fact that the shorts are a darker shade to the shirt brought an angry reaction on social mediate sites.
Mike Morris, from the cardiffcity-mad.co.uk website, said there had been “alarm and shock” among fans on the message board.
“The kit is so different, so weird,” said Morris.
“There were a couple who said they weren’t worried about the colours because Cardiff City are in the Premier League, but the reaction of most was alarm and shock.
“The club tweeted that having two shades of red was a conscious decision.
“Most people expected red, of course, but we want Cardiff’s kit to look classy. I would have preferred white shorts.
“The kit looks odd. Why two different shades?”
Bluebirds fan Lee Beames said the fans would prefer Cardiff played in traditional blue, but he said he isn’t going to get too upset about colours.
“What does it matter?” said Beames.
“We have reached a stage where I am not going to get upset about a slightly different shade of red.
“I’ll be supporting Cardiff City as hard as ever next season in their new kit.
“I will never waver in my support unless the club name was changed from Cardiff – and I don’t believe that would ever happen.
“I assume the away kit will again be blue and that will be fine with me.”
But Tim Hartley, chairman of the Cardiff City Supporters Trust, said: “On a personal level I’m not sure the two-tone red shirt and shorts really works. I find it rather distracting.
“As a Trust, the majority of our members want a return to a blue kit at some stage.
“We would urge the club to consider a blue away kit for our first season at Premier League level.”
Long-time fan Paul Corkrey feels the club should have offered fans a choice of red kits before making a final decision.
“There should have been a choice for fans,” he said.
“Many are still opposed to the rebranding from blue to red and now this new kit for 2013-14 has been imposed.
“It looks like a kit which has been photo-shopped by a child.
“It looks a cheap kit with a beer mat as a badge. After then furore over the rebrand this should have been handled better.
“I wish there had been more consultation and maybe a choice of strips for supporters to look at and comment on before this announcement.”
