How an earth are we champions? Played shit for the majority of the season, here's my player review for the year,Marshell good enough but no Ron Healy, Taylor diabolical, Turner hoofs it down the middle,Hudson ,good player lacks pace or would be playing in the prem. now,Mc'naughton one of my favourite city players but on the wane,Noone' mutch jury out, Gunnarson poor, Whittingham class when played in his proper position, Campbell and Maynard prem. class, Bellamy obvious class, by the looks of his recent crosses being dragged down to the rest ,Gestede and Helgusen donkeys,Mason promise.
Basically we got lucky in a shit league.

We done what we had to do and won it with no drama. Makes a nice change

"How are we champions?"
Perhaps it's because we were better than the rest?
Sun May 05, 2013 12:06 am
Because we scored the most points
Sun May 05, 2013 12:40 am
Jesus Christ, that is possibly the worst post on any football forum in the history of mankind
Sun May 05, 2013 12:43 am
OP, instead of bitching about it can't you just enjoy it like the rest of us?
Sun May 05, 2013 2:00 am
It's Horses for courses. The best Football I've seen this year has been played by Middlesbrough, Watford, Palace & Leicester. However if you can't do it consistently then its superfluous to the task in hand.
Cardiff and Hull were in the business of gathering points. Which is handy in a League tournament.

The fact you only managed 3 wins in your last 13 games yet you extended the gap tells you all you need to know about the state of the Championship this year.
Having said that, it doesn't really matter how you get promoted, the result is the same. You will just have to work harder and sign better than most clubs normally have to in order to compete. You have 2 or 3 that could fit into the Prem but I think you need a near complete overhaul. You just have to hope Malky spends wisely because £25 million won't go that far when having to sign so many.

Who cares what you think? We have won a very competitive league this year and as for next year, like you, we will just have to wait and see.
Sun May 05, 2013 6:18 am
Owain - we really need those Tumbleweed and Idjut Boy smilies. And PTB on that boring effeminate nonce that is Roath/Black Swan.
Sun May 05, 2013 6:20 am
Couldn't give a monkeys who cares. I'm just telling you how it is. A competitive league doesn't mean a good league. My nephews under 9 team are top of a very competitive league and they are terrible

But anyway. We have a yardstick as we have been in the league for 2 years now. Finishing 11th and what appears to be a top 10 finish this year. Every year we build and improve so next season won't hold that many unknowns, especially with 3 coming up from your league. You however are delving into the complete unknown and due to the ease of your league I think many are in for a rude awakening.
I'm looking forward to it. It's about time the derby was back and this time in the big stage, I'm genuinely intrigued as to how you will fare. Clearly you will strengthen so from that perspective nobody can say how you will do next year, the jacks writing you off are showing you the arrogance you showed us. Both attitudes are foolish.

The premier is very much the same as the Championship if not worse.
It has a runaway leader like the Championship and half of the league have not secured their premier status yet with what 2/3 games to go.
And while we are on it when did the Jacks last win a game? How come they are so high up in the premier yet their last win was the begining of March?

Sounds remarkably like your form 3 wins this year is it? Plenty of losses though hey? Yet your still around 10th tells us all we need to know about a poor premier league this year. Enjoy your summer black swan, we will.
How many games will you lot be playing next season? Ouch

I assume you don't mean in quality? That would be ridiculous. However if you mean that one team is leading and the rest chasing. Yes they are called Manchester United with a strike force of Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie, second place is Man city with the likes of Tevez and Aguero, then Arsenal then Chelsea then spurs and so on and so on. The quality of the league is frightening at times, but also fun if you can compete.
We last won 7 games ago I think, against Newcastle. We are so high because we have beaten a lot of the teams below us and around us and in our last 7 games have had a run of games which include Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City and Tottenham. That's just how the fixture list panned out.
Sun May 05, 2013 7:22 am
Who is this cheeky c**t? Noone, Kim, Mutch and gunarsson (2nd top goal scorer) will be fine in the prem, yes we may need 2 fullbacks and a centre back, a striker and maybe an attacking midfieler, but we all know we need to buy 6-8 new players, its the same for any team going up. What a wanker this guy is must be a jack in disguise, dirty skiprat

Yep as I touched upon above, the fixture list was kind to us and we played a lot of the teams below and around us prior to the end of January and naturally we have now had a run of 7 games where we have faced the likes of Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham etc.
We do have a game in hand over a lot of teams below us and now we have the hard group of games out the way we finish with Wigan, Fulham and Man Utd. 5 points from that would see us better our tally of last year in which we finished 11th.
The premier league is frighteningly good. Trust me it's fun. However probably not much fun if you can't compete.

Yeah, after 46 games it was all about luck
We played the situation at the end of the season knowing draws were enough at times e.g. Watford.
The championship is a mental league and widely regarded as the toughest to get out of and we did what we had to do. It's not about pretty football every week, it's about grinding out results which we did better than the others. Every year the championship gets called a poor league. Funny how all 24 teams in it seem to get worse every season

Tells you all you need to know about the premier league bottom half standard as well as one of the teams went straight down to league one and none of the other two made the play offs.
And your beloved swans have shown nothing but relegation form in the second part of the season.

Yet still stay in 9th place.
Isn't that their argument about City?

How can you make an argument for luck when have been top since November 24th
As for the jacks with 3 games left they still need one point to mathematically be safe. A hell of a fall from their heady heights of the first half of the season.
I also believe if we had been able to have Maynard available all season we would have one the league by more points and in a better style.

At least you've found each other then. Serendipity, romantic even.

Stop bitching, your post is pathetic. Why do people think the standard has dropped this year? Its more or less the same as last year!!
