Idea for this board

What do people think about having to have an account to see posts on this forum?
Maybe so many posts to see other threads in a certain section like an update or something ?
That way it stops the leeching clickers and random whoevers just dropping on here and taking info or gets the lazy people to sign up how can a thread have 350views and one post in there saying thanks for something like a link or whatever is in there, its just wrong imo.
The way i see it this board would be twice as busy as people would have to make the effort. Theres tomany takers in this world already.

Modetators to pass off new accounts.

New accounts cannot post for 24 hours.

Must be here all season then worst ive seen is 43 registered and 445 guests not even a 10th of people viewing registered but you can see why they dont as they can see everything the other 43 can

It takes a fair bit of lurking on this board before you pluck up the courage to join I guess. Gotta see who's who, test the water and all that

New members to be vetted by moderators.

New accounts must hve the first 50 or so posts verified by a mod before they are visible.

These are 2 ways which improve the board I am a moderator of, and are easily set up.

It would take a little bit more work from mods & possibly need more mods, but I think this would work - rather than demanding verification by meeting members or by demanding personal details, as was suggested before by some members.

I would also say that people (including some mods) stop accusing every single new poster as RM etc.. Just because they don't hold the majority view of the board

Yes it does matter, alot of people put time and effort in to the forum from mods to peoples posts to be hijacked by a numbskull, the point is it will stop jack trolls posting along with other benefits to the site with more members, if thats the case me and you stop posting because we can read everything of them who post already, as it is theres like 20% tops of people who have accounts viewing this board the other 80% are guests if you go off the numbers viewing in total at any given time, maybe TAN can get it the forum numbers the other way around with 80% posting and the other 20% who are who cares there not customers

Well if a jack comes on here hes not going to waste his time posting 20times of sensible posts in lets say a new members section only to be exposed on his 21post with an abusive post when another section of the forum opens up to him, says in the OP

Thankfully someone else has noticed it too! I was accused of exactly the same thing! Not only RM but some griff fella and then Daya! I took it as a joke at first but then was banned for denying it

Have had to sign up again and tell the mods I'm not causing trouble. Wonder how many people find themselves banned for the same reasons

i used to read for months before i signed up for aamb ian.still number 1 board.aamb is for life not for promotion .seriously i cannot get me head round why some person would want to create an account pretending to be something he isn,t?if you were in a pub and a binman was telling some folk he was a doctor in the end no one would talk to the deluded fool.the odd spoof account fair enough but there are a few astronauts on here tbf.k.r.o .long live aamb

Just leave everyone alone would be my advice. If people step over the line then ban them, but the fun of this board is banter. People don't have to read threads and people don't have to respond to things they don't like.

Jeff i have no idea why anyone would need more than one account myself i find it rather odd tbh. Its like a guessing game on here at times whos who on a day to day basis, i can honestly say on my kids lives i use one account as i dont need another why would i, i bet not many can say that on here, if you can not say something being yourself and need another account its a weakness imo

also an idea is to identify yourself.most people have fb pages so a private glance by a mod could verify who some one is or call me old fashioned but perhaps pm annis or the like and just make themselves known at the game on the quite.i met nukes at the n.e.c the night before reagan was fighting there. this season i came in the cross and the ninian.noboby bit me head off.had a great time.who wouldn,t want to have a few hours with some of the lads off here?baffles me.great lads.k.r.o best get moving.iv a mid table obscurity battle to attend
