Hes still 26.

Hes available on a free transfer.

He is refusing to sign a new contract as he doesn't want to play in the RPL anymore

He is the type of player clubs like Dortmund need and is worth the gamble.

Dortmund have just lost Gotze and he's a perfect replacement and cheap which fits their ethos.

He's a top player and will want to join a club that he will be playing in the CL with.

Will never come to us.

Saw him in the World Cup a few years back and he was one of the most promising players in the tournament.

Will join a top club.

Never say never when Malky & his team are concerned, remember Kimbo was wanted by Dortmund and Celtic but he had a vision?

Re: Keisuke Honda

Whilst I can't see it happening, Southampton managed to lure the talent of Gaston Ramirez to St. Mary's thanks to Premier League football, so a move for Honda isn't impossible.

Not a guess, enquiries have been made its up to the persuasive powers of Tan and Malky now. His contract with CSKA Moscow is up on 31/12/2013 so will come on the cheap with a relatively big sell on value if we can tie him to a long contract as he is still only 26 years old. Think of it logically Tan is about to market us in a big way in the far east and who is the most prominent name in far eastern football terms? Answer, Keisuke Honda so his signing would make absolute sense. To those sceptics that think we wont sign him we are a Premier League club now so have some faith and watch this space ;)

Very true. Kimbo bought into the dream over Dortmund so why cant Honda?

Although a potential champions league final may seem more appealing to the jap.

I've no idea what his play style is but he''s top assist in the Bundesliga! :old:

Aramore i've watched this lad a bit lately and he looks quality. He plays for Nuremberg and is tearing up the bundesliga.
Last year he played in the J-League with Kimbo and the general concensus was that Kimbo was slightly better than him.
This is the reason why many Koreans are so pissed off that he chose us ahead of Dortmund and it should make us cardiff fans very impressed that malky was able to tempt kim to sign for us.

I assumed he had to be quality to be leading the assists chart. Don;t watch a lot of Bundesliga but it's obviously improving year on year as a league.

He's got a contract till 2016 iirc and he obviously wouldn't be cheap as he's doing so well but if we managed to get Honda and Hiroshi we'd have a very very good attacking midfield trio.

All three together may be a bit lightweight and maybe we missed the boat with kiyotake but i'm just pleased we managed to get kim and i'm also pleased that we now have a scouting network that extends as far as japan!
