" Funny how there suddenly is no rush anymore "

for Hull City tickets now we have won promotion and the Championship.

Originally we wanted 3,500 at least, now we will struggle to sell the 2,200 tickets, already Carls coaches have gone from 3 coaches 2 coaches and a lot of fans I speak to are now doing something else that day.

Just look at Burnley away as soon we got promoted v Charlton, sales dropped, we had 1,600 tickets left and it was pay on the day.

I rem Hartlepool away in 2001, we were given 2,000 tickets approx and they reckon the demand was over 3,000, as soon as we won promotion at York away, we barely took 700 fans.

I wonder how many we will take to Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton, Man City, Spurs etc next season.

I can see Watford winning and Hull struggling at Barnsley at the weekend

It'll all be on the final game then. Well worth the trip up

Some people can't afford to justify spending that much money on what is essentially an irrelevant game now. That's probably what it is.

I'm sure if it had more on it, there would be more interest. That's just the fickle nature of football fans.

This is how I see it working out.

As Annis says though, I can't believe we never sold out for Burnley and the chance of clinching the league title. Thankfully it allowed me to pay on the day due my own circumstances so f**k it!

We should be selling the lot and asking for more. SHOCKING

Alex,

What happens next season when some of our away games are £45-£60 a match Man City ect?

Yes there is, I can see it dropping to anyone with just a season ticket being able to buy one.

I'll be there and can't wait. This game is just for a farewell to the Championship.

Hope not to see it again for a long while. ;)

I wanted to get 2 tickets and 2 travel but can't get hold of them

Re: " Funny how there suddenly is no rush anymore "

HOPEFULLY, if they can't sell the tickets, they lower the away game rule to either one or nothing. I only went to Posh this year, and was looking forward to the Hull game. If they lowered the rule, they would get many more tickets.

If people have provisionally booked on a coach & then subsequently pulled out because it's already been won, that's pretty poor form.

Going up the day before on Vinces coach, a night out up north and then a not so early start to finish the journey to Hull...really looking forward to this game and for the ones that are pondering whether to go or not remember....OUR NEXT COMPETITIVE GAME WILL NOT BE UNTIL AUGUST....a long time without football so come on enjoy this now it will be worth the expense for a one off final game of the season and a fancy dress/party atmosphere that we have never experienced before...a promotion party on the last day of the season with fellow fans.

There is nothing fickle about this.......we have been promoted and we have now won the championship.

Why trek all the way up there for nothing? The club do not earn anything from away games. We will have sold out 3 home games....that goes to show plenty of fans are digging in deep.

I don't buy into this "we are true fans if we follow away."

There were plenty of fans years ago who went away only.......the main reason for that was "trouble." The games they turned up at home for was for the likes of swansea town, brizzle, millwall etc.

Annis as we all know, some of our fans that will have gone to lots of away games for a number of seasons, most prob wont get tickets for some of the so called bigger games, and that is totally wrong. The club need to look back at past history of the fans to see how many games they have been to, the club needs to be loyal to the fans that put their hand in their pocket and fork out every other week

Many put off by distance (early kick off) and the parade on the following day. Club seem to be encouraging fans to be there for that.

Re: " Funny how there suddenly is no rush anymore "

Wed Apr 24, 2013 2:19 pm

Don't want to go, and can't afford it even if I fancied it anyway...as for the likes of Man City away next season, if it's £45--£50 a ticket, I won't be going there either.

Re: " Funny how there suddenly is no rush anymore "

I can't see the problem here? We are promoted are Champions yet somehow we are supposed to want to go to an irrevelent game?

Our moment has passed it is now all about who finishes 2nd and the play-offs.

As for next year are we really slagging our own fans off because they can't afford £45-£60 for away tickets?

Come on our fans are not fickle, they are just not rich.

I don't think anyone has a problem with those who have travelled the most getting first dibs for tickets to away games at the bigger clubs.

I'm pretty sure the club runs a system like that any way.

I will be there and hope that all those that gave thier fan numbers into the club hoping to travel on the 2 coaches that myself and my mate Mike have arranged all come across with the ticket money. most of our travellers are all regular away day fans who will also be looking to do most away days next season. :ayatollah:

May bank holiday weekend with nothing to play for. Probably taking the last opportunity to pacify the wife before a year of premiership football starts.

Why is it funny?

Re: " Funny how there suddenly is no rush anymore "

It was funny there was loads of seats against Barnsley left over because it was too expensive and people had work exactly one week later it's a sell out against Charlton.

agree with this, the sooner they do it the better if they want 2 sell out!

Does that mean its the usual away support that is not turning out for this game?
