Liverpool/Man United Fans In Cardiff End Next Season

Sun Apr 21, 2013 7:45 pm

Do you think there will be a lot of Man U/Liverpool fans from wales in the cardiff end next year when we play them?
I know a lot of my mates who support Man U and Liverpool who would prob like to watch them down at the ccs, what's your opinions on this and what sort of reception do you think they would get?

There have been plenty of them around the stadium already this season!

Bearing in mind the sold out signs for season tickets there will only be a few thousand on general sale. Now you're average local Liverpool and Man U fan are not the brightest so they will be slow off the mark with the general sale tickets.

This leaves the potential for them borrowing or paying over the odds for a season ticket. Would a season ticket holder take the chance of having their ticket removed if the away fan is identified in the home end.

I don't think it will be that big a problem.

I think this may only be a problem in the areas of the ground where they are not exclusively Season Ticket holders who've been there since we've moved - for example where I sit, the same people have been around me since we moved into the new stadium - I can't imagine someone getting a ticket there and supporting one of the plastic teams - in areas where its mostly new season holders, that may not apply.

With the general sale tickets for these games hope the tickets go to actual city fans and not a load of Liverpool Man U fans

That's not supporting them.. It's just plastic fantasy land in MOTD.

If they are daft enough to do that...they will get what's coming.
I can see next season being a lot more partisan since anytime since we've been at the new stadium.

I find it hard to disagree on that one.

They can f**k off. I'm all for people who used to support other teams coming and cheering on Cardiff, everyone has to start somewhere & it's inevitable that people will do this.. But if they come along to cheer on the opposition - they can f**k off.

It happened a lot down the Jacks for their first season too.

there are about 12k of them every week down there, all plastic c**ts but now are "proper" city fans

tossers the lot of them

I know a Liverpool fan who has bought a season ticket off a friend off mine who is a disgruntled blue for next season. Also no a Chelsea fan who is offering huge sums off money for a season ticket next season.

It's happening.

In fairness, the club were pretty much on the ball with this one. There were a couple of instances where it happened near me (people with opposition shirts under jackets, or once someone cheered a goal) but the stewards dealt with them fairly swiftly.

i got a season ticket this year cos i got paranoid about getting tickets for away games. in all honesty i cant stand the ccs, been once a year to pay my respects and city lost every time  . its in the canton behind the goal about half way up, row m i think. after it arrives i will leave it in caerphilly with my aunty and it will be there for proper city fans i know. and if they leave me 20 sovs for a drink then that will be even better. :ayatollah:

Kicked out. Nowhere spare to move them to really. If memory serves, the club then look into the season ticket holders for that particular seat etc. It happened once or twice, but not regularly.

So you would rather we just have 8,000 fans then

Everyone has to start somewhere.

Better get used to that my beauties , for a lot of people in wales cardiff or swansea are a lot of peoples (second teams) and an opportunity to watch a team in the prem week in week out will attract a lot of johnny come latelys ( both teams support has been quite frankly dismal up until the last couple of years FACT

Being a Cardiff fan really is a No True Scptsman Fallacy at times.

I'm hoping I can get a ticket to a few of the games next season. Being a student in Plymouth, I can only make the games that are on during the holiday periods (Start of season, Christmas and Easter). Just gotta hope the first few home games are against the smaller prem teams so I can get a better chance of getting a ticket. :ayatollah:

Most Man U fans don't live in Manchester anyway so yes for them, Liverpool will bring their own but like you said a lot will also come from our area so don't give them spare tickets. :malky:
