Best 'banner' on Tuesday was the one that said "Goodbye Maniche, Hello Gary"

At least now I can get to bed a bit earlier on a Saturday night!

That tiny little token gesture on the bottom of your beer mat badge will either be in red, or gone completely if that superstitious old megalomaniac chairman tan has his way. Don't forget.. He does have previous on this. Can't wait to tune in to lineker and co introducing the "bluebirds" on MOTD as the team runs out in red. How embarrassing for you.

You might have reached the premier league boys, but you're about to become the laughing stock of an entire nation. :happy1:

To answer your question, it is blue. Hence the name bluebirds. quite simple to understand, even for a Jack.

I seem to recall the "Black cats" running out in red&white on MOTD and it not being embarrassing. :thumbright: :?

Re: MOTD - Enjoy "Us Bluebirds"

I'm going to assume you got the nickname "bluebirds" because that used to be the colour you played in?

The more observant of you might have noticed.. You don't play in blue any more.

Therefore your nickname is no longer relevant. It is utterly defunct.

I suggest a more appropriate nickname.
Redbirds? Or perhaps more appropriately....

The whores

Going by your reckoning, Red birds would be even more irrelevant, seeing as the badge on the shirt has a bluebird on it? :?

I don't see any whore on the badge either. You really aren't getting the hang of this, are you?

i want my £1.36 back!

this was roughly what i chucked in a bucket once in a collection to help them down west during their troubled times.... sometimes i wonder why we bothered... why is it that you lot are overly concerned with us reaching the prem league as champions? we spent less than what west ham and qpr did to get out of the league...

enjoy your thursday nights in eastern europe during november, i do hope it doesnt affect you for your saturday league fixtures.

Because if you got in to Europe you'd be gutted? Because you beat Real Madrid in a waste of space competition?

Barry, I thought you were bright..?

The badge might have a (tiny) bluebird on it but it is no longer relevant is it? Am I right in saying you got the nickname "bluebirds" because you used to play in blue? It can't have escaped you that you no longer play in blue (except maybe the odd away game).

You are now synonymous with the colour red.

I can see chairman tan conning you gullable lot into accepting "redbirds" for the start of next season, followed by the full metamorphosis into "lucky red dragons" the season after.

The bluebirds are dead and buried and you know it.

I'm not dull enough to take one of my club's rivals fans biased opinions as fact, don't worry.

Oh it will be. We play like utter shite sometimes. We've thankfully started to improve, with Whittingham on the bench we actually attack and don't panic as much when needing a goal.

Swansea football isn't like watching paint dry. It's free flowing, gorgeous football with team goals and brilliant bits of play. We can't even score most of our goals from open play.
