I'd let him start the last 2 games just to see what he can do against 2 decent championship sides. Nothing to lose.

As he's been banging them in for the Development Team who can say he's not good enough for the Championship. Maybe Malky just doesn't think the First Team's style of play would suit him.

I'm sure there are plenty of Championship Teams that would give us most of our money back, if not more than we paid....Leicester for example. Alternatively maybe we could do some sort of swap deal with Celtic for Matthews or Ledley.

Come on as a sub in two early season awat games (Brighton & Bristol City) 28 mins in total. Both games were before we signed Nicky Maynard and after that only had a couple of games as an unused sub.

But MM took him to Burnley yesterday which for me is a sign that he is still involved with the first team squad. The next few weeks will tell us a lot about his future at the club.

He has scored a lot of goals for the development squad and has shown he has an eye for goal. Probably this season was a "Development" season for him but with a fit again Maynard and now Campbell at the club he does seem down the pecking order and he is going to be lucky to get game time.

With us limited to a 25 man squad in the Premier League Maynard, Campbell, Bellamy, Mason, Gestede and Velikonja are all under contract next season plus any players we sign this summer.

We paid not far off £3m for this player and he has 3 years left on his contract The term "White Elephant" spring to mind.

The reported fee for Velikonja was 2 million euro- about £1.7 million. Still a lot for someone whos hasn't played but nowhere near £3million. Should go out on a season long loan I think. Then if he gets a few goals we might get most of our money back if/when we sell him . If we try to sell now we will get very little

Sorry should have we WILL have paid £3m by the end of his contract as his wages were reported at 400,000 euro per season for 4 years.

He sits at number 5 in our list of record transfers fees paid. Surely we are not going to have wasted nearly £2m on someone who will never start a game for the club?
